I wonder why Sandro gave up writing... wonders if it is because no one care anymore. After all, I'm the only one here asking for more... I will understand if Sandro is unwilling to write just to a single fan.

But I will ask anyway. MORE!

Hello, new here.
I'm not great writer, but I hope someone likes this story. I'm quite sure, there will be some grammatic mistakes and typos and I hope you forgive me that. Well anyway, enjoy. (or atleast try)

--
Being in the middle of nowhere doesn’t change you in to nobody. Still, it might help to forget and be forgotten. Let’s take villages for an example: sooner or later a stranger becomes a member of community. Even if he or she stays somewhat distant to others, others tell rumors about other stranger seen in the area. It gives time to disappear and you’ll be long gone, before you even are in real danger.
She stood there, where trees grew almost as old as snow-tipped mountains far in the horizon. She stood there quietly, with a hood on her head, and observed a small village, which was on the bottom of valley. It looked temptingly peaceful: there were no knights, mages or necromancers, only peasants and people like them. Nobody could recognize her, but most important there were not a single elf or demon. They never came this far inside the borders of Empire. She shivered in autumnal wind. It was almost evening and she wanted to be inside when the night would fall above the valley. So she turned and went to get her lizard and ride to village.
Waitress of The Drunken Nanny (the name of the tavern had its root in former owners childhood) didn’t feel comfortable even when stranger had gone to the room, she had paid for. Partly it was because it took time before conversation was back to normal; whole tavern had suddenly gone silent, when that hooded creature had entered. She had sat in the darkest corner and ordered a wine and her voice had been very silent and soft like shadows. It was like she hadn’t been talking in years. Partly it was because it had felt like she had carried the death with her. “Stop that,” she told herself, “It’s just ‘cause the lady arrived in dark evening, when it always feels like Doomsday would be just around corner. It’s just that: you overreact when fall comes.” The explanation didn’t comfort her as much as she had hoped, but at least a bit.
The stranger lied on her lumpy bed, in the upstairs of the tavern, with her eyes closed, listening drunken exploring expedition to strange world of unknown notes and thinking. Her almost snow-white forehead was slightly wrinkled and wide, red scar, which beginning was hidden under mahogany-colored hair, crossed her forehead, missed her right eye just by few millimeters and ended just under her tipped ear, almost glowed in her dark room. On table, in the corner of the room, were two short and light elven-style swords. She looked almost a dark elf, which she mostly was, but her ears were shorter and her face had something more human-like. “Once again, I found myself from a place like this. How long it has been like this? Two years? More? I’m not sure anymore. Or is it just ‘cause I don’t want to remember it?” People started to leave tavern and soon the building was silent and soon after that stranger fell asleep. Wind howled in the corners, but first time in a long time she didn’t wake up because of it.
She stayed a lot in the room, minding only her own business. No-one saw her face and people thought, it wouldn’t be vice to ask anything. She knew she should leave already, but she just couldn’t. That small village had started to feel like home. “One more day. I will leave at evening, but just one more day.” She knew she was fooling herself, but she couldn’t help it. She had been alone and far from everything far too long.
Usually, when she left her room, she went to riding and that was what she had been doing whole day. Night had been really cold and in midday, there were still some frost on the ground. She had been enjoying, but when she came back to village, she sensed something was wrong. Her every single sell screamed her to run. Still she rode to the stables, near the tavern.
All windows of the tavern had been covered, there were no fire on fireplace and floor felt sticky and slippery at the same time.
- Tigarana. I knew you would come sooner or later. She froze. Voice was too familiar. She turned around and felt how something drained her mana. Now there was no question, who it was.
- Cebren. I thought you bled to death after our last meeting. Did you find your arm? Doesn’t much look like it. The demon lord was standing in the doorway, against the dim light of setting sun, which created red halo around him and proved Tigarana right. The demon unintentionally raised his left hand to touch his right shoulder. Or actually what was left of it; almost half of his shoulder was still attached to his right arm and that arm could possibly be found from bottom of one of lava pits in Sheog. If eyes could kill, Tigarana would have died in that very moment, though, if that would have been possible, she probably would have died years ago. And besides, she would die soon and she wanted to use her last chance to annoy Cebren as much as she could. It even might make her death quick and easy. Sadly, the demon wasn’t a complete fool.
- I know exactly what you are thinking and… Tigarana didn’t let him continue.
- So, someone has managed to explain to you, what means word “think”. It must have been hard with zero self-experience…
- Silence! Or I will shut your mouth with her head! Suddenly there were light in the tavern and she was able to see body piles. Imps and familiars had made themselves comfortable on them. The floor was flooding of blood. Suddenly Tigarana’s head was full of pictures from her past. She had almost believed she had forgotten what had happened, but evidences of slaughter that had happened in Drunken Nanny on that day, brought it all back. She wanted to scream, she wanted to cry, but most of all she wanted to kill creatures which were behind of it all. A succubus dragged young girl in front of them. The girl was alive.
- So. How it is? Will you shut your mouth, or…
- Let her go and I will do whatever you want! Just let her live! Normally Tigarana wouldn’t have cared about some human, she even didn’t know, dying, but now that human was a little girl. Tigarana was a woman and children were one of her few weak spot. Cebren laughed.
- Oh, so brave. Tell me, half-blooded bastard, what are you going to do, if I DO kill her.
- I kill you. I swear it in the name of Elrath, Malassa and Sylanna. I will kill you. The demon lord laughed again and suddenly he moved.
Cebren moved really fast, Tigarana saw it almost slow-motion. Demon took two steps and then he was standing next to that little girl. He swung a battleaxe and girls head dropped on the floor. Tigarana screamed.
- You will pay for this, she said with a cold, unfeeling voice, which just cowered her anger.
- I will make sure that you will pay and the price will be high. Laughter died on demon lord’s lips and he barely got out of the tavern, before it broke down. Two imps, who also survived out of tavern, didn’t live too long, Cebren took care of that. He had never been so furious. That half-blood had had no mana, but still she had succeeded to cast a spell so powerful, that it had killed his army, and it wasn’t the worst thing. Worst thing was that brightness of spell had temporarily burned a picture on his retinas. In that picture there was a slender silhouette that teleported itself away. Tigarana Shadowfox had escaped once again and he had no idea, how she had done it.
Most of the people think, that it is impossible to drain own life and use it instead of mana. It’s not true. It is very dangerous, because you need to drain enormous amount of your life even, if you are casting very weak spell. Actually, quite often, when someone tries it, he or she ends up dying. And it’s difficult, so even most the greatest mages and druids won’t succeed doing it, even if they try. But it doesn’t make it impossible. Tigarana knew it well.
She lay under old trees, shivering in icy autumn night and wondering where she was. She didn’t have enough strength to even turn her head to see what was around her. She tried not to think, what had happened earlier that day, but she couldn’t forget the look on little girl’s face just few seconds before she had died. The look had asked what she had done wrong. Tiganara couldn’t stop tears and those tears she cried sealed the oath, she had made. She would kill Cebren with most slow and cruel way she could ever find. If she only could survive till morning.

At least it's something, but... don't get me wrong, but I got hooked by Sandro's fable, and I really want to see the conclusion of it. Everything else seems futile in comparisson. I mean, what he wrote is already more than 200 pages (I checked!)

I know and understand. Sandro should write a book, no, a library of his fable. I can never write as greatly as he does. (espesially when I need to check every other word from dictionary) But you won't mind if I continue writing here? It's so annoying, when has written something, but can't show it to my friends 'cause no-one understands what it's all about.

Finally he answered my PMs. Aparently, he is having a tough time with an class he took for extra credit in the Uni, the teacher makes him read one book every forthnight... but nt any book, but books like The Odyssey, Illiad and so on (maybe not the right english names).

He also said he was a bit busy because he is, again, cataloguing all the names and spell incantations (of each faction), weapon names and so on so there isn't continuity problems. Looks like he lost this data the last crash of his comp.

Also he said that he's working on the "Complete Version", with chapters and so on, because it's less stressing. When he's done he said he will continue it.

Hey! He sent me by PM a preview of the next chapter to show how it's going. Look here!

EDIT: Due to Sandro's request, you don't need to know this.

It looks like it's going great!

Hey! I sent you by PM for a reason! You asked so much that I gave you something, but it isn't to show to everybody!

That preview was exclusive to you so you would be fine for a while. I ask a Mod or for Dancing_Satyr himself to erase it.

Ok, this time it was a "bit" longer than before (alright, just a few months longer Roll Eyes ), but it's done nonethless. I know you may find it to not be as much as you expected, but this time I didn't delayed because of time spent writing... well, technically, it was spent reading.
In the UnB (University of Brasília) I'm taking a class of Hellenic Classic History (Hellenic = Greeks) for extra credit, and well... that professor is just plain crazy. I mean, his tests were... If you do them, you are just sure that you are dreaming, just to show how surreal they fell. I had to read the Odyssey, the Iliad, Thucydides, the Median Wars and some other classic helenistic stories and plays, as well as philosofical texts and a few details of the wars.
So far, quite normall, if wasn't that he gave us about two weeks to read just the Iliad. And that his questions... geez, his questions. Most of them are what you expect. "What would be the most significant changes in history if the Median Wars were won by the persian?", but then you find a few questions that... are like "What was the size of Achilles spear", "Who savaged and used Achilles armor after his death and who he fought for it", "What was the name of Odysseu's son"... and so on. Man, only once I made the mistake of reading these books once. Then I read again looking for bits of completely random and basically useless information...
Well, I know that noone of you is interested with that sad, sad story I'm going through, so, here it is, without more delays. Enjoy Smile :

Goriolanser waits at the Hell Gate called Uorgäl?u (means, shadow of light), looking at the exit to the material realm. He isn?t one of the demons have long, but he was sure he would never get used with the temporal inconsistency of the flaming prison. The hours didn?t crawl like at tedious times of sentinel work from the time when he was just a recruit in the Sylvan army. No, it wasn?t like this. In Hell the time looked like it flicked at random directions with spasms of epileptic crisis eating seconds and regurgitating hours? or that?s what it felt like to Goriolanser, at least.
?I have to warn then? but? Damnit! I can?t get rid of my sworn duty to the Dukes??
He was in front of the troops he was ordered to command into attacking his target.
- I?
- What?s taking so darn long to them, boss? ? Asked an impatient imp.
- Shut that little gab that you call a mouth. Your duty is to follow my orders.
- Right, right! Boss!
?Damn demons, all impatient! How can they be so impatient living in a place that is so excruciatingly hastened in the eternal slowness of itself?? Still, Goriolanser himself was too, starting to be impatient. They should be reaching the Gate by now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- TAKE THAT! ? Sir Ryan shouts as he smashes a headless zombie to the wall at the end of the corridor. ? Now, this is the last turn, after it is Paul's? By the HOLY DRAGON GOD! - The surprise made Sir Ryan to actually lose the grip of his weapon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uorgäl?u is an important gate for the infernal breed. It was built under a monastery (or, in better terms, it was open under it). It is the gate used in the great Expedition (invasion) to Almarle. Few infernals know one thing though, that yet the Hell Gates are very difficult to open into the material plane, and only where the rift between the planes is weaker, it is much easier to do the opposite. Actually, from the material plane you can make a Hell Gate to anywhere in the flaming prison, although it must be done in weaker spots of the rift in the material plane as well.
Of course, Goriolanser isn?t one of those few who know that this is possible, if he knew he would be more alert.
And Lillithy knows.
It was sudden, a gate instantly opened behind Goriolanser, the vampiress jumped from it and pierced Goriolanser with both her katars. Both poisoned, of course.
- (The Eighth Dragon has a message for you: ?Don?t complete the Cycles?.) ? She whispered.
The demons were too excited with the waiting for the attack and too focused on the gate to notice the vampiress attack. Especially because, even if they were trying to notice anything, they would only see a strange darkness behind their leader.
Lillithy then took her katars out of Goriolanser's body, as she said.
- (But, I have a message from myself, ?Better that those cycles work, or else??. Don?t worry, the poison is just paralyzing. And will wear out about now. Just an insurance that you wouldn?t shout or something.)
- (Ugh, what are you talking about? What are the Cycles?)
- (You will know? No! Don?t look back. Now, I need you to attack me.)
- (What?!)
- (Just don?t dust me out.) DEFEND YOURSELF, PUNY DEMON!
- WHAT THE?!
Goriolanser was still lost, trying to figure out what she had just said. There was a faint memory of someone mentioning ?Cycles of?? something? as he was lost in his madness.
He barely defended himself from this second attack, with his claws. The paralyzing poison wearied off already, maybe it only caused a momentary system shock. He grabbed her neck and threw her away.
- What is the meaning of this?! Take her down, my minions!
Pit lords and Devils jumped at the vampiress, surrounding her. Bad move.
- LUNACLES ZERALON, CONGELIUM FIRC! ? The icicles from the Ring of Ice froze the powerful demons to the bones, creating a circle of horrific ice statues around her.
- Pathetic! That?s all Urgash?s Minions can do? You?re the next corrupted elf!
She jumps from the ice that was encasing and protecting her, just in time to escape from a Devil who teleported in. But she fell in the middle of the daemonic lines.
- GELATUM APODRENCIR ONDEAR!
A wave of decay rots the flesh of a line of infernals in front of the vampiress, leaving just bones in the ground, as well as opening the way for her. She advances in the weakened soil as the demons who tried to chase her fall in the chasm of crumbled fiery earth.
In the frenzied chaos (and joy) of battle, the demons and the demonic elf didn?t notice four knights standing at the Uorgäl?u Gate.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- What on earth is going on here?!
- That's why I can't leave.
- WHO!?
Sir Ryan and the other knights look back. They see the dead bald cleric from before.
- This is a Hell Gate. I've been protecting it for over a decade now, I think. Slain so many demons I can't even try a guess. If I ever left, the demons would make a new outpost in the material plane too soon. Nor humans, elves, dwarves or even undeads (hmmm, maybe the undeads) would survive another demon incursion so soon.
- Good, so? If you don't help us, they all will be dead either way as far as we understood what's going on.
- WHAT?!
- Not time for talk. Archebat!
The giant knight drop the corpse gently in the ground.
- You are a servant of Elrath. RESURRECT HIM!
- I told you that you should leave. His blood is in your hands!
- Not if you just resurrect him, damn you! What is taking so long? We don't have much time. Do it or we'll exorcise you!
- I can't.
- WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU CAN'T? - Ryan leaps and approaches the ghost with such speed he surprised Paul Dego, he stopped just in front of him with the sword in his neck. A magical sword, specially a powerful one, CAN harm a spirit. - I'm NOT giving you a choice. He will be gone forever!
- I KNOW! I would if I could, but if I could then I would just have resurrected my friends!
- You can't? That can't be!
- He is right, it can't be! - McGreggor raised his voice. - We came here to find a powerful cleric, inquisitor of Elrath, and you are the only thing here. If you aren't him, this all was a waste, and Julian's sacrifice was in vain. So, are you or are you not who we seek?
- ...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- DIE UNDEAD S***! - An imp jumps right into Lillithy, but she jumps away. Not from the imp (actually, she is ignoring any imps), but from the slam of an Arch Devil's fire mace. The imp is almost torn apart from by the Arch Devil's attack. The sudden terror kicks him away from the battle frenzy. ?Damn Devils, swinging that thing away as if... as if... as if there wasn't anything else than the enemy who could be... killed... what is that??
He notices a few armored humans discussing with a translucent human.
- Hey! Boss! Guys! Look... IEARGH!
He was so anxious in trying to be useful he didn't noticed the flaming boulders falling from the red skies of the flaming prison. Falling AROUND him. Just another consequential victim from a frustrated Goriolanser's meteor shower. Not like he cared about more infernals dying (or whatever happen to then), but the damn vampiress dodging nine meteors in a row, well, that was quite a frustration (and a waste of magic, almost, if hadn't some infernals deceased in the process).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- ANSWER, DAMN YOU! - The demons would already have listened McGreggor's shouting if the Hell Gate could transfer sound, luckily, the vibration dissipates in the transporting process. - ARE YOU WHO WE SEEK?
- I decided to not leave this world. I am an undead... I can't perform the divine magic...
- Bulls*hit, we saw you!
- That was just a simple banishing. Nothing to do with magic, just force of will. I can't do anything for your friend.
- You can't be serious...
- It's Elrath's will. I'm not a servant of light as long as I represent a being of darkness... I'm truly sorry, I know how you fell. Huh?!
Sir McGreggor punched Paul in the face. He just passed through, of course, but that didn't kept him from trying again.
- DON'T TELL ME THAT ?YOU KNOW HOW I FELL?, I ALWAYS HATED WHO SAID THAT! - He tried to punch Paul again, maybe eventually it would work.
Archebat gently puts Julian in the ground, maul in hand. He steps towards the ghost, who were just watching McGreggor, who helplessly tried to punch him again and again. Ryan was in shock, Lucius was still injured and weakened. He couldn't bear it anymore. He would put an end to the ghost's misery, after all, if it was all true, it wouldn't matter if the gate was unprotected or not, everything would be gone. After that he would go into hell. They failed... He could only hope to destroy as much infernals as he could before...
*ZWAP*
- Huh?!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Here he is. He was sitting in a cloud looking down, a bit hard to find. - Said Ezaviel, Camathiel followed close.
- Sorry... I was... just thinking.
- Good. Now that Camathiel is here... - Started the cat.
- Wait a second cat. You said sitting in a cloud? How's that possible? - Interrupted Dramorrarl.
- We're not exactly material, mage. - Camathiel answered.
- Oh no? Well, then... ouch. - Cat scratched him in the cheek. - Alright. We are good to go. I have the coordinates. TRANSPOSITUM DIMENSINALING, ESCALATUS INT MASSAE!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Whoa!
- What the hell!
Archebat was confused. Suddenly, there were a crowd of people in front of him. A robed man, a lousily familiar paladin knight, two elven warriors, an elven druid, what looked to be a dark she elf warlock (he was sure to be out of his mind at this point) and two winged beings (could they be angels?).
The robed man looks around and asks:
- So? Who is this Paul Dego? The divine caster?
Archebat started to try to get a hold of himself to answer that when the black cat on the robed man's shoulder said.
- That ghost over there.
- What?! A ghost? How troublesome...
- Heh, there's quite a fight happening out there. - Said one of the elves.
- Great, Endithier. So why don't you join it and save us from your impressive deductive capabilities?
- They don't seem to notice us...
- Of course not. Sound isn't transported through hell gates, it dissipates during the transport.
- Right, I will pretend I understood what you...
- Can I interrupt you and ask, why did you mortals disturbed my resting place? - Asks the ghost, reluctantly. - And, if you can be kind enough, leave afterwards?
- He annoys me. Can we subdue him now? - Asks the warlock dark elf.
- Why did we brought you?
- Because your knowledge about light magic is laughable to say the least, old fool.
- Excuse me. - Insists the ghost. - Do I need to use violence to get some attention of you? THIS IS MY TOMB!
- Yeah, yeah. We figured it already, look, we are here to solve whatever problem there is here so we can take you with us, but you're a problem by yourself. Let us do our...
- Dramorrarl! There's a dead knight here. - Said the other elven warrior.
- Can you excuse us for a moment?
- He seems to have been deceased recently.
- Hey. Stay away from Sir Julian, elf! - Shouted the giant knight Archebat with a menacing maul in hand.
- Calm down, knight. - Said the paladin knight. - Now, we are here to help. I'm Sir Reaveor. Paladin of Elrath. Could you tell me your name and what are you doing here?
- I'm Sir Archebat, from the realm of... it's not important... well, I can't talk in our behalf, Sir Ryan is our leader.
- And who is this Sir Ryan?
- He's... the one with his head between his hands staring the floor in that corner... - He points to the pitiful image of a desperate knight. He didn't seem to have noticed the ?visitors? so far. - Wait... you said Reaveor? General of Almarle?
- Yes, and...
- General. Speak to me. - McGreggor stood up. - I'm the second in command. Sir McGreggor. Now, could I ask you a favor?
- Yes?
- Those two... I have not seem one of them in a long time. But they are Archangels, right?
- Yes. He... I see. Camathiel. Can you be kind enough and bring that poor soul back?
The two archangels looked away from the battle going on behind the Hell Gate. One of them looked to the deceased body of Julian, in his light armor and rapier in hand.
- Yes, general. - He walked slowly towards the dead knight. He kneels at his side and raises his sword, which glows in a bright white. - I ask for the Holy Dragon God Elrath, whose kindness is limitless and mercy is miraculous. Help me rescue this poor soul back from the world in between. - The glow gets even brighter and Camathiel's eyes starts to glow with his sword. He looks to be in trance for a few seconds, and then, the corpse starts to cough uncontrollably. The knight who stood catatonic in the corner suddenly looked up, surprised.
- What's going on? - He asks, as if acknowledging for the first time the existence of the visitors.
- A big mistake! That's what's going on! - Said Endithier. - All this light show finally got the attention of the demon hordes fighting out there. - He pointed outside. The demons who were fighting something or someone unseen until now are now looking at them, a bit confused, but in frenzy already.
- Good... that's exactly what I wanted. - Says Camathiel slowly turning his face to the other archangel, who nodded. His vitreous voice almost looks like in a controlled anger.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lillithy jumps above a pitlord, who frenetically tried to hit her with his broken runed sword. He was too slow. She got behind him, standing in his back, with her back to his own, and carved both her katars from above deep into his flaming skull. Looked like a not so comfortable position to her, and even less to him. She jumps away before the pitlord is blown into ashes by another pitlord's fireball.
An archdevil barred her way and swinged his alien morning star into her horizontally, she ducked and jumped into his neck, piercing his skull through the mandible with one of her katars as the other opened his guts open under his chest. Then she took it out and jumped away before he could try to grapple her, since those wounds aren't enough to knock an archdevil out, but the fireballs and meteors going into his direction could be. She runs away from the blasts, leaving the hard work of killing a bunch of infernals to these.
Lillithy glanced at the Hell Gate and grinned, then she charged at Goriolanser.
- (Try to not kill those bastards, alright?) - She whispered at his ears behind him. - (It will be much more difficult to dispose of the Dragon of Death without them.)
Said this, as suddenly as she backstabbed him when she introduced herself, she vanished as if she never were there.
- Kill who? - Goriolanser asks to himself, confused, just before being almost blinded by a bright light coming from the Uorgäl?u.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Ry... Sir Ry... *cough* ... Sir Ryan? What's going... and Archangel?
- Two, Julian. But it's not time to chat with Ryan, we have a little trouble over there. - McGreggor points to the infernal hordes behind the Hell Gate.
- Demons? Two Archangels... elves?! WHAT ON ASHAN IS GOING ON?!
- After the killing, Julian. Raise your rapier and humiliate those horned guys.
- Yeah, yeah. - Says sarcastically the wizard Dramorrarl. - You can do the hard way if you want, but only if they GET here. ALLON DELAFFIER ACORRENT!!! - The infernals, who were about to get their heads to understand what's going on and charge like they mean it, suddenly slowed. All of their limbs looked to be chained into heavy iron balls. They looked unreal, as if ghostly, but they sure were heavy, holding back even the hellish nightmares.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The slow-reaction pit lords seemed to not yet get a hold of the situation. They were fighting a single vampiress who were kicking their arses with ease just a few ago, and now the Uorgäl?u was full of people. They also start to realize that the Hell Gate was their original target. When their head finally get to understand these simple events, they started to cast something, but they didn't ?fell? the magic. They wasted all their mana in the vampiress...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Finally! I can waste some living! - Shout's the dark she elf warlock. - LOSTROVAN LOTSVAR, OLLUGAR CORRENT!!! TITANIA! - From her fingertips, a powerful lightning bolt cut the air and hit a devil who just had teleported closer, the lightning them split and hit all the front line of demons, leaving a bit more than toasted flesh behind, as it jumped into the imps who desperately tried to capture her mana into their bottles. From the lowly infernals there wasn't much left, as the lightning them split even more and jumped into the succubus lines, going through a rain of fire to fry about half of said line, the rain of fire was stopped just before trespassing the Hell Gate, hitting a force field Dramorrarl raised with haste. It then jumped into the demon lord (who looked like an elf), but the infernal hero didn't let it reach himself. He carved his metallic (and dreaded) spear into the ground just in front of him and made two steps backwards. The lightning hit the spear and was absorbed by the charred earth of the Flaming Prison.
- SALUSD, DIAD ARCAN MAKUS, LIGAID! - On a large mass of infernals close to the enemy Hell Gate that survived the first barrage of spells, a giant rune covered appeared momentarily. After vanishing, the rune was reproduced in the forehead of each infernal who was beneath the larger one. If any of these could read arcane runes, they would be able to read what it meant. Dramorrarl himself knew very well. The rune was read ?Dram-or-ra-rl?.
- So, that demon lord thinks he can play with...
- FAMON!!!
- What!? - The demon lord's fireball hit the Force Field, but the blast behind it left a good sized crater. It would possibly destroy the Hell Gate itself. Dramorrarl felt bad for raising the field in the other side of the Gate. - How dared you! LIOVAR GLANURIA, DIABLOS!!! TITANIA! - A massive combustion instantly incinerated everyone around the enemy demon lord, a large fireball formed above him as he vanquished into the flames. A spell that doesn't need a path to it's target, since it explodes instantly at it, regardless of the force field in the way, Inferno.
- NIRVA!!!
Suddenly, the force field wasn't there anymore. The warriors and the two archangels who could do nothing but watch didn't noticed, but Dramorrarl and the dark elf felt it.
- LINKUS, ADROSIL GLAMEN! - Dramorrarl sent from his hand a mass of bolts made of pure arcane magic, each hitting one of the demons he had marked with his name. The bolts simply pierced the infernals, doing not much more than a scratch at them, but then the runes seemed to respond and explode into arcane energy, killing for good all of them (including a remarkable tall devil).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- ALLON DELAFFIER ACORRENT!!!- The infernals, who were about to get their heads to understand what's going on and charge like they mean it, suddenly slowed. All of their limbs looked to be chained into heavy iron balls. They looked unreal, as if ghostly, but they sure were heavy, holding back even the hellish nightmares.
- Finally! I can waste some living! - Shout's the dark she elf warlock. - LOSTROVAN LOTSVAR, OLLUGAR CORRENT!!!TITANIA!
As the lightning cut through the poor infernals unlucky enough to be in the way, McGreggor sighed and said.
- Or, we can sit here and let you rest from dying... Looks like we won't need to do much with those two there. *sigh* Julian, what were you... Huh?!
Sir Ryan pushed McGreggor to the side.
- It wasn't for you to let yourself being killed that way.
- *Ugh* There was no other...
- I'M THE LEADER! If someone is to give his life for the others this someone is ME!
- I didn't ask to be resurrected! I would be happy to die like that. Doing good once in our lives of lies. We... we killed innocents. For blindly following the ?king's? order. I was finally able to do something for my own! By MY choice.
- And your choice was to DIE?
- No! It's not... it's not it... I... *IRCK*
Sir Archebat suddenly raised Julian and hugged him strongly.
- It doesn't matter! He is alive! Let's celebrate it!
- Can... can't... bre... breathe!
- Archebat. It's better to loosen up so he can stay alive. - Asked McGreggor, relieved.
- Oh, sorry. - He released Julian. - Its just that you two forgot what's important of all this. I figured what was the worse way possible to interrupt that nonsense arguing.
- Oh... you... you did good. Let's sit and watch it. Let's enjoy this moment. We don't need to do anything right now. Leave it to them, whoever they are.
- Well said!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Hmm...
- What's the matter, Endithier?
- That demon lord. He's familiar, somehow.
- Maybe it was the same of the monastery.
- No, Ezaviel. He... he looks like. BY THE GODS!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- TERR!!!
The charred ground of the flaming prison raised and blocked the Hell Gate.
- An earth wall! What's he trying to...
- He's buying time for his troops, old fool! TALLION EMPUR ET, MOVAS!!!
The earth blocking the passage is violently pushed away, reduced to a pile of debris.
- Now, I'll show you the power of the warlocks! ESMAG THOOLHAS AR...
- STOP IT! - Endithier jumped on Anyllia, interrupting her casting.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- RAIUR!!! - The demon lord sends a lightning bolt from his fingertips.
- ADORAVER ESCUDS! - Dramorrarl raised a force field to block the lightning.
- NIRVA!!! - And the force field is dissipated by the demon lord.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Why you! You will pay for it! I SWEAR YOU WILL PAY! - Shouts hysterically Anyllia, at Endithier.
- THAT DEMON LORD IS GORIOLANSER!
- Who is that? And why should I care?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Isn't Goriolanser the elf who got affected by the infernal eyes? MOGNUS DALAST, JONTHNIRR, MALLAR, FLAMIORI!!! - Giant flaming rocks materialized above the demon lord and the demons unlucky enough to get close as reinforcement, they fell down mercilessly.
- SOCCUN!!! - The demon lord, punching the red skies, materialized a giant fist of energy, which hit and destroyed a meteor that was going to hit him, the same can't be said of his troops, who were incinerated and crushed by the blasts.
- Why does that name reminds me of something?
- What name, cat?
- Goriolanser... Goriolanser...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- TALLION EMPUR ET, MOVAS!!! - Anyllia throws Endithier at the wall, nearly crushing him. - I will deal with you later. Huh?
- DON'T ATTACK HIM LIKE THAT! - Ezaviel grappled her arms strongly, preventing spell casting.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Hmmm, I think you SHOULD prevent that crazed bi*tch from killing that demon lord for good.
- MOGNUS FLAMIORI, RAGNASTUS MARION!!! Why should I care? - Dramorrarl hurls a large fireball into a line of nightmares who were too close for his liking. - As far as I know he's only a traitor who joined the infernal legions.
- RAIURA!
- ADORAVER ESCUDS! - The demon lord sent another lightning into the Hell Gate, but it hits a force field and jumps back at his troops, killing a platoon of imps and demons (not that anyone, be the enemies, himself, the other demons or even other imps or horned demons cared for that loss.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- If he says... huh!? - Anyllia loosened her hands from the archangel's grasp.
- TALLION EMPUR ET, MOVAS!!! TITANIA! - Ezaviel is also thrown into the wall violently, opening a hole. The strength of the telekinesis was obviously more powerful than the one used on Endithier, lying unconscious not far from the archangel. - If someone else try to end my entertainment, will be killed without hesitation. Now, where was I?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Yes, true. He is a traitor no matter what his intentions were. But... he is a demonologist of the inferno. He isn't one have long.
- How do you know about that.
- THE important task is. He is capable at infernal magic, and it's very possible he wasn't possessed, yet.
- Wait, are you saying...?
- YES, I'm saying!
- ESMAG THOOLHAS...
- Anyllia, DON'T!
- ... ARMASS!!! DEGRAAAS!! TITANIA!!!
- Damnit!
Dramorrarl sprinted at the Hell Gate desperately. He jumped in as he casted.
- TRANSPOSITUM DIMENSINALING!
A dimension gate was built in front of him, that transported instantly into a random elemental plane and back instantly into the same dimension, but behind the demon lord. The wave of compression were dragging the earth, the clouds, the air and the legions of demons in a radius of a few kilometers in intense speed. In the middle, there was Dramorrarl and the Demon Lord Goriolanser.
- ADORAVER ESCUDS!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- My God!
- Back already? - The Dragon of Death Thorverium didn't even turned his head or moved his mouth. They were needed for the chanting. He talked to his High Priestess telepathically.
- The mission was partially a failure.
- What do you mean, partially?
- At the moment I was struggling against the demonic, those knights came. I noticed the Last Wish with them. They were going to devastate the demons, and me altogether if I stayed. I left the work for them.
- The Last Wish you say? Where on Ashan they found that artifact?
- I do not know. But, most importantly, are you close to finish the ritual?
- Why do you ask, high priestess?
- Well, my God. Just because of them. - She points at the west horizon. A giant army of the Wizards were marching. She pointed at the south and north, where the army extended to. At least two hundred thousand golems, and double it of gargoyles. Thousands of wizards led a few hundred of tall pillars between the lines, those pillars being composed fully of Titans. At their feet each Titan was protected by a company of several humanoid felines armed with six swords, the Rakshasas. Also, various spells were being cast by the Djinns at their lines. Behind all that, a sea of the small green faces of the gremlins, it wouldn't take long until they reach shooting range. - I think that could be called a problem.
- Your insight is lacking, ?dear? high priestess. Didn't you noticed?
- Noticed? - Confused, she tries to look around to see if there's something, anything, around to be preventing the unavoidable discovery of the wizards that Thorverium is the one opening the rift. For a few seconds she didn't noticed anything, but them she could see, from her height (she was at the height of Thorverium's head) a few spots down to the ground. They were the dark elves who she had attacked before, and, for her surprise, they were helping in the ritual. She also noticed a dim magical aura around them.
- What's that? Illusion? And mind control?
- Precisely. I knew you had made this far with some talent. I must admit that I was wrong when I made the supposition that they were going to be an nuisance. They helped quite a bit, accelerating the process a few times.
- But... what about the elemental genesis?
- I told you they weren't a problem. Did you suddenly lost your insight again?
Lillithy looked around. Then she noticed that her insight was completely off. The two signs were too obvious. She noticed a new rock cliff close by, but too deformed to be one shaped through thousands of years by erosion (she was old enough to notice the process by observation). And, behind some dunes, were was a giant pool of solid glass, and a rock cliff close to it was marked black, as if it were charred by an explosion.
- You killed them?
- That's not possible, they are the meaning of the elements themselves. But I could send their essences far. And by far, I mean, nowhere in this plane.
- I see... so you did take care of them.
- Don't worry, when they reach shooting distance the ritual will be complete. And it will be a matter of time for the rift to open. And these neglect dark elves will take the blame. And the war... will have meet it's beginning.
- All hail the Dragon Of Death Thorverium!

By the way, the "Heroes Fables Complete" will feature pictures of most characters. Unfortunatally, so far only Endithier is drawn.

EDIT: A few corrections done.
Sidenote: I keep in mind the words I use in chantings for spells that need it, so, just so you know, "TITANIA" in the end of a chanting from a warlock spell means that it is empowered. (And yes, this is the first time Anyllia uses it, since she never needed before, choosing to save mana instead, but now she was completely mad)

I'm here to Announce that I won't post my Fables in this forum anymore. Instead, it will be transfered to:

Heroes Fables at Deviant Art

I will be editing everything and improving my storytelling there. In time, it will catch up with what I made so far. If there's enough demand, in the other hand, I will continue the fables here as well.

(PS: rldragon, in my country the problem is that we don't get to study foreign literature until the college University. Until then we only get to study national literacy.)
