My friend who has the Polish "heroes 3 gold edition" v 3.2 and me who has english heroes 3 complete v 4.0 are trying to have a game.
He can't connect to me because it says I have v4. I can't seem to find a patch to update his version to 4 and I don't know what to do.

Anyone have a clue would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have searched google for over 2 hours now, and this forum too. Where is the tech forum? Maybe I'm blind but I can't find it, thats why I posted here even though I have no idea if this is the right form. sorry if it's not

You can find it on the manual-cover most likely

The on line key is found ON the manual. It’s the code printed ON the front of manual that came with the game.

yes but, it write " you must be registered to play a ubi.com game" i did it.
" click on account in the multiplayer game interface to open your browser and connect to registration page" i did it.
" enter your login and password" on this step i stoped, because there was write " online key" and where is online key? in book write" put your login name and password. but i can see there just online key. help! i dont know what to do?

Those are two completely different things.

The ‘login name and password’ are the things that you yourself have chosen to. It’s the same things you use to be able to post on this forum. For you the login name is ozhyhov-92, while for me the login name I alias-hw, and the password is the thing you thought of that goes along with that.

The online key is the thing ON the book. Keep in mind that you have to type it as printed, so with the dashes. So if it’s printed on the manual like this ‘1234-5678’ then that’s also how you should enter it.

Now, if you want to play online, you first have to log in with your username and password, and then (since you have not yet activated the game, so to speak) you have to enter in the online key from the manual.

Once you succeeded in doing this, next time around you will not be asked for the online key (if I remember well) and only need the user name and password that you also use to be able to post here on this forum.

Now, if you were to buy a second Ubi game (say HoF) than this would come with it’s own online key, and when you would want to play online with that you would have the exact same thing, you would need your ozhyhov-92 username and password, and the online key that was printed on THAT manual.

You see, as I said; those are two different things. The username and password stay the same with all Ubi games you want to play online with, and they online key is individual per game and has to be entered only once when you want to play the game online the first time. (Basically the online key is simply a proof that you really did buy the game and aren’t playing with some downloaded copy.)

To explan this further

On the
European versions the Code can be found oun the bottom of the cover of the manual. (note: this is on the cover of the PAPER version original manual)

On the American versions the code can be found on the back of the manual that says CD-key (lower left corner).(note: this is on the cover of the PAPER version original manual)

The key looks like this: HM5-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX regardless of version.
