Would have liked to do that rather than sleep with a humming PC

I have a laptop, so no humming for me!

And no demanding games won't be long before laptops will be able to take the same games though

- I've also got an ancient laptop 5 years old or so

It`s still more expensive than a desktop of the same power, and not all games officially support the mobile versions of ATI or Nvidia chips.

Yup, threatened me with 2 weeks of lyrics if I sent him anything noisy over msn and woke him up, he had the PC speakers either side of his bed.

And it worked althoug i couldn't have the music loud enough to not hear the "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..." incredible how fain tthe sound is during day and it grows into an orchestra in the night...
