It's very unlikely I'll upgrade my OS in the near future. The price is absolutely outrageous (considering that the 'ultimate' edition is the only really interesting one) and so are Vista's hardware demands.
But ask again in a couple of years, and I might have changed my mind until then.

Yeah, thats what i thought too, the home basic edition doesnt include anygood it doesnt even include all the changes to the visual look.
Basic edition was advertised for something like $350au to $400au on tv the other day. Its only about $150 for the upgrade.

They seem to have mysteriously changed the hardware requirements since the beta, the new requirements:
- An 800 MHz processor
- 512 MB of RAM
- A 20 GB hard drive with 15 GB of free space

I'm not gonna upgrade my XP, because I think it works just fine.
And game's will be compatible with it for many years to come, so why hurry?

I'd love to upgrade to Vista... And considering its features it's well worth the money...but its taken me so long to get all my old games working properly on XP (including the original Heroes of Might and Magic, of course), I'd hate to do it all over again.

Besides, there's nothing wrong or unappealing about XP.
