Hey everyone

The last game I got was M&M8, then I lost track. Which one is the next "M&M9: jewel case" or "M&M9:dark Messiah". I'd like to know which one to buy. Can anyone help me.

I think it should be M&M9: jewel case, but jewel case has nothing to do with the game it's information about how the game is packed, in a small see-through cd case.

Dark Messiah isn't M&M9 and isn't really even the same type of game as Might & Magic 1 - 9.

Dark Messiah single player is a first person combat game with some role playing, Multi player is a first person hack and slash type with just combat and no role playing.
If you`re a long time M&M fan it`s best to stick to M&M9 even if a lot don`t rate it highly compared to earlier games.

Dark Messiah is like quake/unreal not RP and jewel case is only information. So M&M9 is the one without name, just blue cover/ silver letters, as in the jewel box, right?

Wasn't MM9 called "Writ of Fate"? I know it's not written anywhere on the box or the manual, but that's what I recall NWC saying...way back when. :O)

And just so you know, all the Ubisoft Might and Magic games have nothing to do with the renowned NWC Might and Magic games...other than use of the name brand. They scrapped the original storyline completely when Ubisoft bought the rights from 3do. So for story's sake, MM1-9 are one series. Everything else is a new beast.

And as a "nearly" life-long fan of M&M...I'd suggest you not even bother with MM9. It's so poorly done I'm ashamed of the fact that it's even got the NWC logo on it. *shudders*
