What was your longst game in heroes series ?

I remember in Heroes 2, I palyed a map for 43 months. I belive I never go beyond 2-3 days away from my castle. I just stay there and reject the A.I. attacks for 43 long months...
(fortunatly for me all his 3 castles where from different faction)

That was my third game... in the first and second I never resisted the first attack

43 months! I'm not gonna argue with you any more, seems like you've escaped from one of those "specialized establishments".
I think there was one case in HoMM IV, at Zanfas' Challenge, where the game continued more than 10 months (11 or 12, can't say exactly). The idea was to check how may Vampires I can gather with Necro - the AIs, of course, were just to provide more Necromancy-fodder (that said, everything in HoMM IV was a Necromancy-fodder, AI or human... ). I ended up with more than 1000...
Back in HoMM III - 10 months. My "opposite" record is exactly 90 days against 7 "Impossible" AI in one team on XL map - 491 points for this.
All of my games in HoMM I and II are below 5 months...

13 months in HoMM II, 3 days being the shortest game.

14 months in HoMM III, with 2 days being the shortest games.- Won 4 of the campaign maps in that time, one of them and XL map (yes, logistics, an artifact or two, pathfinding, only speedy monsters, Town Portal, Dimension Door and a great deal fo luck was the recipee).

Don't remember the other games, but I won one fo the HoMM I ones in one day

Heroes 1 were short ones...

Heroes 2 short too, I used to crush any enemy I saw..

But with the 3 and 4, i got to 4 and 5 months even... but no more, except with special HIV maps

And I thought we took forever when my best friend and i stayed up for two weeks going at it on Armageddon's Blade. He was tower and I was the new guys. I finally beet him a full 24 hours after getting the grail. 15,000 sprites lost their lives in that battle, and all those Titans really hurt.

I know and was being sarcastic. Sorry. What I said was completely true though. Yeah Aaron and I do tend to get way to carried away.

The longest I have played straight with a friend is 2 days. None of them accept any challenges from me anymore, so we just play co-op mode, which is fun enough although I do miss kicking arse from time to time and it would deffinetely be great to have the time, to play such a game as HoMM III or, even better, II 2 weeks straight with a good friend.

yeah that was a lot of fun but that was in the good old days when we were both in high school and had nothing to do all summer. Now I', married and we are both in college.

As I only game the large and extra-large maps, most of my matches last 3-6 months. I can't think of a longer one really.

As for a single play session, and friend of mine and I once played a complete hotseat game of HOMM3 for 12 or 14 hours straight. He won.

24 years (ingame duh!).... H3...

Ah well. A macro fixed that game in terms of getting troops and stuff and it was played during nights. I might even still have that save somewhere left...

Only about a year hear. Never finished the game, though.
