Sorry I can't help you there. I use Windows, but to be honest its been driving me absolutely insane! I've literally installed it 17 times over the last 3 days in a futile attempt to get my PC working again. Now I've just about managed it but it isn't reading my other hard drive! AGGGH!
X is X-Windows (The GUI). I was going to say look for a line that says startx in /etc/rc.d or /etc/rc.local and comment it out, but I'm not sure if that would work. I found this page with a quick search I'd read the entire thread to see if that's what you want to do.
