Hi guys,

Over in the heroes v forum i mentioned wiz 8 and got lots of positive responses. I figure it deserves a whole thread of it's own. And why restrict it to just wiz 8?

So I'll tell my story. Wiz 1 was the first rpg I remember playing. I played it on my NES with color graphics. It was addictive even then. Creeping coins!

Then I forgot all about wizardry until grown up when I picked up Wiz 8 and was blown away. I've tried lots of interesting party combinations...and even smaller parties (3 at the lowest)...my faerie ninja didn't get far. Oddly enough on my last run through i got the cane of corpus, no faerie's in my party though.

After wiz 8 I went back and tried wiz 6 and 7. Had a good time with 6 and breezed right through it...7 I found too difficult.

So that's my story. Please share you wizardry stories.

I never even heard of the Wizardry series before picking up W8... although I've never finished it (YET!) I've had a lot of fun playing in the really complex world of Dominus. The selection of races, classes and magic styles just blows me away.

yeah i should probably check ebay some more but i keep forgetting stuff like this, especialy with my exams

Dergos Wiz7(1992) is freeware can be played on Dosbox.It like 'World of Xeen'-maybe a little better.
The others - play Dodd Slayer's mod for W8 it's very hard-make the game very different,in 'Ironman'setting is crasy ! Download it on spoiler W8 board on VN boards(RPG Vault).
This mod is truly something even for over-played over-bored players as ...
It also include texture pack remaking Arnika's houses inner design etc

Hah! I finally found a copy in a used games and such store. So, any tips or should I jsut wander off on my own?
