Whenever i quit the game(or it crashes, not difficult to achieve), the attack key goes haywire.
Now i set the attack key to R, and the Rest key to T. When i quit the game, the attack key will function as the rest key. I check controls and the attack key is still binded to R and the rest key to T. But when i press R it just brings up the rest window. Pressing T(the actual rest key) does absolutely nothing. Attempting to change it back to defaults or whatever does not work.......it seems that no matter what key i change the attack key to, THAT key brings up the rest window instead of attacking. The only work-around ive found is to un-install then re-install the game -every single time-. Thats right, after the first time i launch the game from another install i have to un-install it and do a re-install. I am also running MoK's 1.21 patch. Im not sure whats going on. Any ideas? |

Are you running it on XP? If you do Celestial Heavens has a fix for it here Oh, judge, your damn laws: the good people don't need them and the bad people don't follow them, so what good are they? - Ammon Hennacy Faith is the most powerful thing in the world, because it can change the world. The guide is completely bogus. There is no "windows compataibiltiy tool", and at any rate the guide is on how to get the game to RUN on XP....which you will note im already doing, thanks to the 1.21 patch. Before i found the 1.21 patch i was trying the guide, and noted that the guide was not helping you to run the game in hardware accelerated mode, which was the problem -everyone- was having, but how to run it in software mode by fiddling with compatability settings(which were irreelvant). This was noted by a ton of comments posted ranging from "The link to the tool doesnt work" or "The guide doesnt work!". I had to search towards the end ot find the 1.21 patch link.
Nowhere in the guide does it say that it fixes attack key acting as the rest key. How did you come to that conclusion? |

Maybe because it worked fine for me. Jeez, people are so agressive nowadays... So you claim you had the exact same problem and then fixed it by using software video mode?

No, I mean I played MM7 on a XP (with the fix on CH) and I never had any problem. Jeez... This is like telling someone to fix a loose spark plug by setting a fire underneath the car hood to thaw the engine out, because thats how you always fix a frozen engine. Nevermind the engine of this car isnt frozen.
