The Mok patch is outdated-many have problems when music plays in MM7 ,you must wait for a minute before shop or house would open.
We are talking about XP here when it comes to Vista Mok is useless.
Ubisoft must release patched Might and Magic !

Last but not the least :
WHERE are those small stand-alone expansions to
'Heroes of Might and Magic 3'?
They are not in complete edition ?
But why to call it with all expansions then?
For those who doesn't understand I talk about several small expansions called 'Conquest of the Underworld','Revolt of Elemental Lords' etc

I dont think they want to digg up old games...

I have heard rumours that John Van Caneghem was going to continue his work on the MM series because he founded a new game company!

Maybe its too good to be true....

Actually he can't because Ubisoft have the license to it.

Rummer has it he was offered a position at Ubi but declined, said he was just sick of it all after 3DO.

Since then he has started a new company and is working on a new multiplayer project, but he is still just laying the basic foundations for it, it will be a long time before we see any 'game' progress.

Oh and FYI, Celestial Haven has the last M&M 6-8 patches available to download, I have no problems running them on XP with these patches.

I do have problems on XP.
Everybody has problems on Vista.
Ubisoft must release patched version!
People would have to change to Vista.

Since Ubisoft has Heroes 1-2 available on XP.
Why not MM 7 ?
There are other people who have problems on even XP-game lags HORRIBLE when music plays.
I'm happy that some people have it allright with Mok-I really do.But we-who have problems
ALSO want enjoy the game!!!
Now there are out mods for MM 7 it is a time to play it and it plays awfull on Mok !!!
I also have to get Vista afterwhile as many others.

ever tried to use as windows95/98 option in xp, helps quite a bit, i think it's also in vista should check it on my laptop

It's only work with compability 95\98 .
One American guy also has the same problem-could be advanced sound cards.
Ubisoft must make a version for XP/Vista:
all those solutions-Mok- are not always satisfying.

I am playing MM6 on Vist x64 and it's playing fine...Ok, a few music glitches but it's good enough to play...

I don't know the problem is that when music,rather wonderful and fantasy fitting imo,plays lag is terrible loading takes minutes,
game shudders like in some graphics-rich strategy games when there toooooo many units - things like this.
Now,I start the game from CD and after it starts take it away .Game goes on working perfectly,but music gets disabled.Hmm
I still would buy a newer patched version from Ubi then to have this Sold out'unchanged' version.
As a matter of fact I had some HoMM like some three and full four,and yet have bought Ubi's Heroes IV complete - easier to have it on one disk

I have played MM 6, 7 and 8 on my vista laptop and used the compatibility mode (Win 98) and I have not had any problems and performance was fine. A few game settings had to be used, but for the most part they were the same setting I had to use when the games first came out.
