So I went to a friends house and she had her dog trimmed down for the coming summer heat. So I thought to myself, "OH! What a great idea! My cat has some seriously long fur!"



I mean look at all that fur!


So I look online for cat groomers in the area and come up with some pretty sweet pictures of what they call the Lion Cut for a cat.

I saw pictures like this




and like this...



So I said "Great! This is what I wanna do!"
I bring her in and tell them what I want.

I tell them not to cut her hair too short and they brought a cat out that they had just done and said, "Hows this length?"




"NOOOOOO!!!!" I said. "Thats too short! I still would like her to have fur! Maybe you can blend it in"

"No problem, well take her now"


I just picked her up.......



and there you have it.

The lesson?

When bringing in an animal for a haircut, it might be wise to bring a picture of what you would like done. Don't try to describe it.

at least for the next 3 months she wont be dying in the heat.

The fur helps cool them. How could you do that? HOW DAN YOU ARE SO MEAN.

Oh man, on your example pic that cat has some sweet titties.

NEVER, EVER, cut a cats fur.

Sorry but, those are some fugly cats in those pics.

The vet not only okayed it but they have a form to fill out for it. I'm more inclined to listen to a vet. Not only that, but if you read, you'd see that what I got is not what I asked for them to do. If you saw my poor cat during the heat waves though, it's much sadder than the cut she got.

Wow, you're cat has the most beautiful facial markings. Maybe next time you should just do it yourself with a pair of scissors and then post some pictures. Yeah, I think that's a good idea.

I might not even do THAT! The funny thing is, since i got her, her nickname was "fatty". Now that I see what she looks like under all that fur, her new nickname is "skinny"

In the back of my mind, I saw myself flying over the counter and throwing a donkey punch of some sorts. The cut couldn't have been reversed so all I said was "awwww, look her!" and went on my way. sigh......
