So it looks like party chat will not be fully supported on MW2 according to Kotaku. This I can actually see being helpful in S&D matches but for other gametypes I think it would be pointless to not support it. This is also means that there will be a lot more trash talking in the lobby since we will all be forced onto the game chat channel.

In a way this is good in that if you are going into random matches....everyone can communicate. The down part is you have to listen to a lot of **** now or you cant just chat with other friends. I thought it was only for certain game modes though. |

It is, but the only game modes it allows it are Free for all and one other I believe (I can't remember the other one).  |

From what I hear:
Team Deathmatch, FFA, and 3rd person game modes will ALLOW party chat. Other game modes will NOT allow party chat, however you are still able to private chat. |

Well that just sucks. So unless I'm playing with friends it looks like the headset is coming off.  |

I have a bad feeling that multiplayer its going to suck. It seems more gimmicky to me. I also heard there is no clan tag feature. Although it isn't that crucial to overall game play, I don't see why it needed to be removed.

Because you not only get a clan tag but each player has a customizable...i don't even know what to call it...maybe a dog tag. It pops up whoever you kill on their screen. |

The dog tags are just basically your name, with titles and symbols you unlock as you play. Think Street Fighter 4.
