I think Snuggies are awesome. JB and I had to buy a couple as soon as they hit stores. My husband actually using his at work since Blizzard actually feels like a Blizzard inside the offices. Now I want the pet snuggie for my dog JJ.

Zee, that made me laugh so hard.
Honestly, I just saw the commercial for the first time yesterday... I thought it was a joke. The way the commercial's put together led me to believe it wasn't an actual product for purchase but an SNL skit or something. |

lol no, they only had camel color and leopard, so I went with camel. Zebra would have been pimp, though!
Yes, it's definitely kind of embarrassing that I bought one, but so worth it. I've been warm and toasty all day. I may look like a monk, but hey, at least I'm warm.
Awesome indeed. The pet snuggies are too adorable, too. |

What color is his snuggie? Just for the sake of the complete mental picture. |

Oh my, you're part of a cult now.
Dayfish and I were looking/giggling at these and the 'Slap It' yesterday while wandering through the mall. .:Edit:. Wait...pet snuggies?! My cat is a cat and my Parrotlet (Paisley) has a happy hut. They need no snuggie! |

omg Magiz, you have a Parrotlet?! So do I!
Been having a heck of a lot of trouble taming him, though. He did well when I took those pics, but now is a different story. If I ever take him out of his cage (which is a battle because he flies everywhere to get away), he keeps flying away and refuses to let me hold him. I got scared last time I tried because he smashed against the wall pretty hard and got a little disoriented. O.o I love the little guy, but sometimes I don't think he loves me, because he won't let me touch him! He likes to talk to me, but that's it. |

Indeed I do. I posted a reply in the Did you know thread about Paisley and linked his twitter (yes Paisley has a twitter).
Parrotlets can be interesting. I've read a lot about them to help me take care of our Paisley. Always keep in mind, even though they are small, their breed is considered fearless. Our little Paisley has no fear of our cat (Smudgie), so we have to keep a close eye on Paisley when he/she is out. They're very social birds, but as silly as this sounds, they are also very independant. We taught Paisley to step up onto our finger when we first got him. Paisley does this pretty well, but usually once he's out of the cage, Paisley just wants to sit on my shoulder or go for a fly and back to me. As for not wanting to be touched that's part of them being independant. Paisley like's to do his own thing when he's out, checking everything out, but still wants you around. I'm sure the same goes for Daxter. I can actually pet and scratch Paisley's head, but I have to wait and I usually as when he's on my finger. If I see Paisley's feathers fluff up on his head, I'll slowly try to pet him. If he makes an angry sound and tries to bit, I know he doesn't want that and stop. I've actually been able to scratch his head like a cat or dog's before. He just sat there and loved it until Dayfish came downstairs and startled him. Paisley loves flying around too, and when he was younger he crashed into the wall a few times. The one time he was a little dazed too. He's actually a pretty good flyer now and loves being outside in his cage (he talks to the other birds). Here's a picture of Dayfish holding him. We have more, but I don't have any linked on sites yet... Dayfish and our little Paisley Sorry about the long post. I just love talking about these little guys. At least you know yours is a boy. They gave us the wrong paperwork for Paisley so we're not 100% sure, though the coloring screams girl. o.O |

Melonie, your parrot is so cute! I have one myself..her name is Reagan and she's about 11 years old. She's a quaker parrot. She's really tempermental..especially about people. She only likes me and my dad..she absolutely HATES my mom lol. My dad built her a stand and we had it in our living room that we used to let her chill on, but she got to where anytime my mom walked by she would fly into her hair and attack her! Hahaha
But anyway, we figured out she was a girl because of the coloring on her chest. It was the weirdest thing..this summer, we put her cage outside on our patio cuz it was so nice outside and she started laying eggs! She ended up laying 4 in a month's period of time. I read about it and it said that breeders go through a lot of extremities to get their quaker parrot's in the right environment to lay eggs..and also that it's not healthy for them to lay too many..so we had to move her back inside lol. That's cool that you taught Paisley to step onto your finger Magiz..we did the same thing with Reagan. Now when she wants to be picked up, she actually says "Step up!" lol it's cute. She's a sweet bird..when we're holding her, she gets up to our face and like..grooms us all gentle. I don't even know how to explain it, but it's adorable! Haha |

I actually had a pet rooster (we saved a little anonymous chick from one of our cats, and it grew up to be a rooster, which we kept as a house pet) And it constantly insisted on sitting on our shoulders, often flapping across the room to land on them. Which needless to say, was absolutely terrifying. Also terrifying was the fact it was always looking at your eyes like it was just about to snap them up. Eventually when his claws got gigantic we moved him out of the house and he wound up escaping his cage and living with the neighbor's hens. A happy ending for all. "I often quote myself. It adds spice to my conversation." --George Bernard Shaw |
