Ever since I discovered this show a few years ago, it's easily been one of my favorites. This season is no letdown, these men are friggin' badasses.
I'd always wondered if there were ever any fights on board the boats, that question got answered last night. Surprisingly, it happened on the Northwestern, one of the deckhands got into it with the greenhorn. I the captain, Sig Hansen, he seems like a real man's man. He sat the two guys down and told them to save it for back in town, the next one to throw a punch gets canned.
I really don't know how those guys handle that, working 20-hr days, on a small ship, with the frigid temperatures, rough waves, etc.
I love this show as well. And they are all amazing fisherman. I think the big reason they deal with all those conditions is because of the BIG pay off at the end. Assuming the Captains placed there pots in the right areas.

I know why they do it. But wanting to do something and actually being able to do something are two totally different animals. Just look at that one greenhorn, I think they call him Moil, on the Wizard. He's almost my age, and I thought that he looked like he'd be a tough cookie. But he wound up falling apart pretty quickly.
Very true. Well I know a lot of them are veterans of the sea, but the new people like the young kids wanting to earn a few extra bucks (and not knowing what they are signing up for) are pretty fun to watch. Do you remember that young captain last year that was the youngest Capt there? I was so glad he didn't return this season. He kept asking the other captains for help and stole the good sites out from under the veterans.

Thats Moi! I believe Moi is the guys last name. He's the fingernail guy! He's got some balls even though his body can't take the beating that the job is giving.
