I agree with gypsy. Rocky Horror is a Halloween MUST!!

After working in a haunted house for 5 years, spooky movies have a special place in my heart. In Love My favorite horror movies are the good ol ones. The Halloweens are by far my favorites. I love a good gore fest though too, bad horror shows are usually much more entertaining. As long as Eli Roth isnt involved lol

The first Hostel wasn't that bad, and Cabin Fever is awesome. Plus he did the Thanksgiving trailer for Grindhouse.

I watched Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho last night for the first time. The movie was great! Thinking about what he did in that movie, all the little nuances, shadows, subtle hints and that mixed with the bed scene, the stabbing/shower scene... Not such a huge deal now, but back then I can imagine it was. It may not have been the most graphically appealing movie I could have watched, but I realize why that movie is a classic. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, even though I know the story and how it ends. I can also see where Red Dragon and some other horror/suspense flicks came from.

On a less scary note, one of my favorite movies of all time is Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

So, yeah, they aren't new but those are my two current favs for Halloween.

You can't go wrong with Halloween. My wife and I have a tradition of watching that every Halloween night. Other good movies would be Hellraiser, The Haunting, Amityville, Night of the Living Dead.

I have never had an interest in seeing the SAW films.
Ever. Or anything by Eli Roth who is a hack in my opinion.
Maniac (from the 80's)
Rosemary's Baby
Original Omen

It makes me think "why do I continue paying to see this bull****" though I knoew the answer is that I'm masochistic. Past the first film, there's no real redeeming value. The story is ****poor and convoluted as ****. The torture becomes less exciting and a lot less original as movies progress, the direction of making that cop Jigsaw's successor was about the dumbest thing that could have happened for that movie series. Now they get to emphasize a ridiculous asshole who looks like he smells **** all the time and speaks with zero personality

The first Saw is a much more cerebral experience than the rest of the series. The only one since that has even come close is Saw 3. In a lot of ways, the first Saw is more comparable to a movie like Seven than an actual horror film.

I agree, the first Saw is the best.

@ERRR151 I see what your talking about. I was glued to the screen the first one, and the others i kept on moving around.
