Yeah I actually want to see this film. This was one of my favorite books when I was little. It helped to not only teach me to read, but also to open me up to Fantasy in general.
My son doesn't really care for the book and when I went to the movies last night and saw the trailer I wasn't that impressed. We will probably wait for it to come out on DVD.
I just don't see how they could make a movie out of a book that is so short. It will be interesting how the movie does.

But that could just be the influence of the Arcade Fire song.

Seriously though, I'm pretty pumped about it. I loooooooved that book when I was a kid, and I recently picked it up to read to my daughter... once she stops trying to put the book in her mouth.
I frag on the first date. As we all know, money can't buy knives.
I'm glad this is finally coming out - it was all tied up in argument with the studios and production company or some other entity that stops good ideas from happening - It's got Dave Eggers and Spike involved... I am looking forward to it!
STOP IT. THIS IS YOUR PAIN. THIS IS YOUR BURNING HAND. IT'S RIGHT HERE.
A couple of friends went to see this. They enjoyed it, the kids not so much. They were a little scared. the film does focus on emotions and seems more geared to waking adults up to things.
I remember watching this trailer before heading to work and it made me cry warm tears of joy so thanks for that, and I don't even know about the children's book.

Yeah, him wrong. For one thing, it's only an hour and 41 minutes long.
