I read this story this morning. Its just sick what this world is coming too. I mean the guy threw the kid in an incinerator after it dies of complications. I, along with the authorities remain baffled at how the Wife remained completely ignorant of these events...

Honestly, I don't see why it's so hard to believe. It's hard to believe that someone would actually do this to another person. But if you've been locked up in what amounts to a dungeon for that long, never being allowed contact with the outside world, I can see how she would be clueless as to what was going on outside.

They are all idiots. As fate would have it. They have publically proven it. Rinse and repeat with the next idiot perfomance in a day or two. It's not the first time a related incident as this has happened. It sure won't be the last.

Maybe, just maybe, the death penalty will be an option. He's far too old to be thrown in jail for the rest of his life for it to mean anything. He's ruined the lives of too many people

Dp is the only option. I'd rather pay tax dollars to have a tool like this fried, than to feed him for 20-30 years.

Wasn't there a story about a similar incident a year or two back in Europe as well? I forget the details, but I think it was a mother that kept two daughters in the basement since they were very young - and when it was discovered they had found the girls and they had, like, developed their own language and some other craziness in the 10+ years they had been kept down there.

Austria doesn't have the death penalty anymore.

"Death penalty! Death penalty!" How short sighted some of you people are. I see nothing more ironic or deserving than having this guy become the "prison bride" of a much larger man for the next 20-30 years.

Oh I'm sorry, I must've been so short sighted that I couldn't see the best way to deal with this. Because a butthole deposit or two is the proper way to deal with a situation like this. If he's lucky someone might spit in it before they have their way

There was that other guy a few years back, also in Austria, who kidnapped a girl and held her captive for maybe 8 years. She escaped and he was killed but I think there's a bit of Stockholm Syndrome there
