I am currently reading the Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon series.
When I was in the hospital my dad gave me the first novel The Kill Artist. I read it during my day at the hospital and finished it the following day while I was recovering. I became completely hooked. They are spy novels and a fairly fast read. They are not your typical, spy novel fair. Gabriel Allon is an Israeli Mossad agent and assassin not CIA or English Secret Service.
I support the nation of Israel and it is nice to see writing that does not damn them for once. I will also say that Mr. Silva does a good job of showing both sides of the conflicts. He does not do this from a political standpoint. In fact he tends to leave the politics out of the story, unless it is for back history. He does this through human action. Gabriel is not a innocent man. His is an assassin and you see the human impact of what he does.

Go get them...
no really do it now

I finished the ROAD last night. GREAT Book.
today I am starting Ender in Exile.
I still want to go and pick up -Under the Dome- by S. King

@expo; Talking about Foundation made me remember that there is a guy who is actually the real world Harry Seldon.
Of course I cannot remember the guys overly complex name. He is a Dutch or Swiss Mathematician I saw him on a history channel show about profets like Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus.

Though I haven't read the books yet you will be interested to know that Mossad is not the only Middle Eastern Intelligence Agency that has done targeted killings. Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan have sent out kill agents after terrorists as well and this might shock a lot of people but even though Saudi Arabia and Israel might not seem to chummy on the surface they have had agents who have collaborated togather in operations.

I recieved this in my e-mail. An Arab female kill agent haha! How very cool!

Its very controvertial but its very effective. Kind of like a modern day and real life Assassin's Creed.

Ender's Game is probably my favourite book I've ever read. I swallowed this one whole.

I was reading a book called Wild Card in the Tom Clancy's Power Plays series. It's nothing to be excited about, as a matter of fact I'd call it good for the trash. I've tried very hard to like the Tom Clancy works but apart from the books drawn from Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon, his writing always puts me to sleep.

SORRY MR. CLANCY!!!

And why would you think that people would be surprised? All countries have people specifically trained to kill others. Also, you are trying to tell that to someone who you obviously don't know well. He lived there and has an interesting job.

I lived in Haifa for about 5.5 months. While there I met a girl and her sister was an Israili fighter pilot with a pretty substancial list of confirmed kills. She was also really good at Kav Megrah or however you pronounce it.

I think the Power Play books are written just by the other guy with Clancy's name added in a licensing deal much like Clancy has with Ubi. His Ryanverse books are better and have a deeper story to them.

The only country's that do love their leaders are the more prosperous ones like Qatar, UAE, Lebanon(depending on which group you belong to) and Morocco.

This is true. IIRC, Clancy only rights the Ryanverse books, and his non-fiction series (in addition to the Red Storm Rising and SSN.) All of the other ones (Power Play, Op-Center, etc.) are written by ghost writers. Clancy *I think* just comes up with a scenario/loose timeline, and then hands it off.

Although I rather enjoyed Politika and Sea of Fire, I never really had an interest to pursue reading the books Clancy never actually wrote. One of those things where, if I had the time I'd read 'em, but they're just not high on my list.

Valkyrie loaned me the book 'Lonely Werewolf Girl.' I'm a extrememly slow reader so Im not even halfway done yet but so far it's had me glued.

I won't give any spoilers but I love how the writer breaks up the story. There's no chapters but every few pages it skips to someone elses story; so I find myself hardly drifting off from bordom. If I think one characters story is dull and boring I know that I will be on a more exciting character it just a few pages.

Don't forget little Bahrain. They love them some Sheikh Hamad ibn `Isa Al Khalifah.

I am currently reading The Bitter Road To Freedom; A New History of the Liberation of Europe by William I. Hitchc ock. It is a very interesting look at the people and the countries as they were liberated and the trials and tribulations that everyone went through as and after European countries were liberated during WWII.
