Actually. I think I will be around tonight for this. Jen decided to reschedule her birthday party for another weekend when some of her friends will be in town. So we're just gonna bbq at the house tonight, and play the new Wii .

Since I know this is likely to come up in the morning, I want to throw out some ideas for games to play in the near future that haven't been done recently for Community Game Night.

Left 4 Dead (I've been pitching this one ever since the DLC came out)

Call of Duty 4 (Obvious but hasn't been done for a Community Game Night in a while)

Gears of War 2 (I don't own it but I think a lot of people do)

Far Cry 2 (I think a decent number of people have this)

Those are the more popular ones I was thinking of... Others were:

Team Fortress 2 (Yes, I mean the 360 version if enough people have The Orange Box)

Battlefield: Bad Company (Do a lot of people have this one? I don't but it's pretty cheap right now so I could remedy that if needed)

Perfect Dark: Zero (If we wanted to go Old School... and torture ourselves)

I was also thinking maybe something outside of the shooter genre so maybe a more traditional racing game (PGR 3/4 or Forza 2) or we could try a 1 vs 100 Community Night again but I can't think of much else that isn't a shooter (unless a ton of people own NHL 09 that I don't know about).

That's about all I could come up with. I tried to list a bunch of games that could be options, whether I own them or not.

Yeah that sounds good to me. I rather fancied the idea of Left 4 Dead next week as it would be the next "major" title that hasn't been played yet, with the exception of Gears 2.

If we chose Left 4 Dead we could do multiple lobbies and maybe even have a tournament as to which team could survive the longest in survival mode.

Obviously Call of Duty 4 is our best bet depending on the number of forumers we get to join, but its up to you guys...

kinda ****ed I skipped Red Faction night, was really looking forward to it too, didnt see many comments about it how did it go?

Next weeks game been picked yet? L4D, COD4, or GOW2 all sound good to me.

There hasn't really been much feedback in regards to what people want to play next week so no decision has been made.

Left 4 Dead sounds good to me, but I'm pretty sure that I'll once again be working and unable to attend.

So is Left 4 Dead what people are interested in?

I agree with returning to 007 at some point (and I would obviously approve of a return to Burnout because I need people for online challenges) but I was trying to get as many different games as possible before cycling back to things we've already played.

I don't have Left 4 Dead right now. But if we do play it, I will sure go and buy it. Its just the zombies scare me...you might think I'm kidding but they really do. I can't play scary games cause I get nightmares. I know...I'm a big wimp...

I don't have L4D with me here in CO but I do have:

007 Quantum of Solace
CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Halo 3
Battlefield: Bad Company (we would have to start a party & private chat since you cant hold a private room)

I'm also not a big fan of horror games/movies etc but Left 4 Dead is more action then it is scary so I don't think you should have too big of an issue with it.

I wasn't sure about Battlefield since I didn't have it at the time (I picked it up yesterday, though I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet) though it sounds very much like the setup for Battlefield 2: Modern Combat.

We could see if Battlefield 1943 is an option when it comes out on XBLA, though a party chat could work as I don't remember it being too hard to get into the same room in BF2, we just might be on opposite teams.

Should we just go back to the good old dependable Call of Duty 4 this week & maybe plan Left 4 Dead for a couple of weeks for now then?

It is fairly easy to get into the same room, I think you can invite as many as you want until the match fills up.

I have played with a large group of friends before, we were in party chat. Some of us were on the other team but we could all still hear each other. It was a lot of fun.

Never played any Splinter cell multiplayer heard it was fun though and we haven't played it yet

The big problem with that as a Community Night though is that it only supports six players...

Oh & the fact that I hate Double Agent's Multiplayer more then I can put into words (think the series is great, just not that game), though if that's the game that was decided on, I wouldn't let my hate get in the way (as I didn't with Halo 3).

Yeah & the fact that the game is a year old would probably allow us to get into the same room a lot easier.

For those of you interested in this game watch this.

I picked it up on Monday when I was getting a Microsoft Points card (had to get Worms 2: Armageddon on XBLA today) but I've been to sick or busy to play anything the past couple of nights. Hoping to try it out tonight.

I wasn't really a fan of the demo but that's because it didn't really provide any details about the 'Gold Rush' mode that they added so I was playing with no idea what the objective was. I was very happy to see that they added the traditional 'Conquest' mode in as DLC.

Oh, and kind of random today...
