This. The article I read off of Comcast (I think linked from eonline?) didn't specify what his condition was, just that his father said it wasn't good.

Yeah, it's not official...lol TMZ's preemptive news doesn't count.

Unfortunately, the lawyers and family may be working on paperwork and saying goodbyes before it's official.

I'm just gonna post what I told my friend we're still a very protected and sheltered nation...people know MJ..very few understand issues in Iraq no matter how sad.

Blame the media, blame our education and lack of exposure to international issues, blame everything..that's just how it is.

The lose of talent through injustice or natural cause is all tragic.

NO!!! Im really sad. Michael Jackson, although he became a weirdy towards the end, is one of my favorite singers. He is without a doubt one of the best stage performer/entertainers of all time, and will be missed. Poor guy, Im bummed out now.....

People care about celebrities because they bring entertainment into their lives. Jackson has been a part of millions of peoples lives in some way, so yeah, when he dies, they care. This is happening right now and it's raw. He was a legendary artist and musician so this is a big deal.

Other people dying is important too, and it's a terrible tragedy but that didn't start happening today, so if you really care you should pursue the cause in the future. People are mourning Michael Jackson right now and they have a right to do so without people telling them what they "should" care about because holier-than-thou internet rangers have decided their feelings aren't legitimate enough or their interests are too base.

i thought europeans were cultured, enlightened, and intelligent. yet they are still obsessed with michael jackson. weird

Just because we care about MJ dying doesnt mean we are apathetic to other tragic workd events. I care a lot more about whats playing out in the rest of the world than pop culture. But its still sad to me. Just because someone is a celebrity doesnt mean they will get my sympathy. Farah Fawcett died too, thats sad, but oh well.

The latter follows from the former, sir.
