It actually doesn't look too bad. I had much lower expectations when I learned about the movie and who was starring in it

Watching the actual HD version I must say I am actually really impressed! I was with err having no expectations but all the elements that made sands of time great seems to transfer into this film. Also has some The two throne elements in there. They nailed the arrogant prince with his banter, the action platform elements and the whole design of this world. I actually can't wait to see the final product.

Gandhi. I don't think the crappy power of even Bloodrayne will take away from that movie. Jake Gyllenhaal does look the part. I still giggle at the thought though, not sure why.  Thanks for the awesome sig Phin! |

Well for me it doesn't. He also got an Oscar for it so I don't think he gives a damn what movie he does anymore lol he knows he can act the hell out of anything. I did hate his NY accent in Sneakers though. This movie doesn't look too bad btw. I sorta forget the whole gay cowboy thing. EDIT: Yup, totally forgot Schindler's List and The Love Guru...oh and the long list of stage work. I'm also looking forward to Shutter Island, so I think he's blown right passed Bloodrayne with just all that. Thanks for the awesome sig Phin! |

I completely agree about Kingsley, however Bloodrayne is a shining example of how a movie can still suck despite his awesome.  But really, Ben Kingsley is so totally on the list of "men it's perfectly heterosexual to have a man-crush on." |

Word i was like WTF Jake Gyllenhaal? but he does look the part. I'm actually surprised, i've lost all hope with most video game based movies, but this one doesn't look half bad. Looks like Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer went in on this one.   |

wow after that i'm quite excited to see that movie. I already was stoked because i loved pirates of the carribean but now i can see what they are truly doing. Although i still see Bubble boy in Gyllenhaal's face.

I completely agree! I didn't think Jake Gyllenhaal could do the part until they showed him in a small interview clip talking about the movie. He does looks the part.   |

Looked pretty good. It actually looked like Disneys successor to the Pirates films.
You know this is Jake's 2nd time travel movie. (Donnie Darko which was directed by Richard Kelly who also did the New film -The Box- which is from Richard Matheson who also wrote the book I am Legend) And Ben Kingsley is a really great actor but sadly you have all forgotten one of his absolute best roles ever. Sexy Beast. That film owns. He got the Oscar for that if I am not mistaken. |
