After talking it over with Jinx, we've decided to do the Far Cry session tomorrow night at 10pm (EST), which is 7pm for all you West Coasters. I'll be hosting the session, so if you want to join in, just shoot me a FR. I'll be doing a mix of regular maps and custom maps.
Yes it did, and I went back and corrected it. We were going to do it tonight, but Jinx said that tomorrow night would be better for her, so we changed it.
I'll try to be there I haven't really played this on live but I haven't seen any body playing it either, and I could use some great custom maps. I don't like the options of the map editor, like not being able to just use all structures/objects not being able to tilt them and lack of materials for creating buildings, other than that I love having a map editor.
I agree, sometimes it can be quite frustrating working with the map editor. That being said, it's by far the best and most versatile editor out of all the console map editors.
I'll keep it going as long as people want to play, or until I pass out from sheer exhaustion - in which case, feel free to abuse my character in any way you see fit.
I will be there tonight even If I have to come up with some super-far fatched reason to not watch chick flick #413. That is Ok though. I will just use trusty ol' excuse #616. (I'm sorry, not tonight dear. The gods are calling for a sacrifice of digital blood and guts. The goDS MUST BE APPEASED!!! Um...sorry. got a little carried away. I do however suggest that you try to talk Brimtown into running a dedicated server so that you can get the maps for the session ahead of time. i mEVIL so others don't have to be.
I have to go to a job interview today ('bout damned time), but I'll pick out several maps that I might use tonight, and throw them on a dedicated server before I leave. I'll put up a special announcement for the dedicated server, both on this and the Far Cry forums.
Yeah, it was a pretty good session. Thanks to Jinx & Calyber for dropping by! For the most part, the night went pretty well, no serious lag issues, even with 12 people and with many of them downloading new maps. Next time I'll bump it up to 16 people. I'll try to do this every Tuesday night, hopefully we can get some more of you in next week.
