Good, now that you've got your pointless prediction out of the way. Can we get back to the anticipation of another great music game? without anymore political redundancy.

I'll tell you right now. I'm covering some DM, some Muse, alittle Radiohead. Mixing up a bit of classic rock, alternative, grunge-crunchy/crispy mojo motion potion. Winky

So sue me K! Twisted

Why. Cause I think it would be way more fun to talk about the game itself. Verses some dumbazz music industry crackheads who see their grip crumbling, over and over. We've had this discussion several times. We already know the industries is jealous and greedy and pretty stupid. What's the point of, well. Pointing it out again and again? There is none.

Let's talk about how cool the new guitar looks. Or doesn't look. How bout the drums? Are they cool? Or do they suck the big stick? Does anyone think that they just stole some ideas from RB? The customizer looks strangely similar to Rockband's.

1. Doc, I merely made a prediction, you're the one who dragged it out by calling it "pointless". Why must everything turn into an argument?

2. As far as GH "stealing" or "copying" ideas from Rock Band, that is laughable! Could one not just as easily say that Rock Band took the idea of a scrolling guitar neck from GH? This whole argument just smacks of amateurish fanboyism. It's a music genre game. Of course there are going to be a lot of similarities.

Trust me Brim. I love what GH:WT is shaping up to be. I just want to steer the discussion back to what we know about the game. I have no 'biased opinion' on which is better. They are on the same level with me. I will own this game. I most likely will love this game as I do all the GH's. I love RB as well obviously. I think they both bring us music lovers great old and new music of all genres, to another hobby that is pretty cool as well. Gaming.

And now. We have 2 players in the group music rythmn game scene. What more could we ask for.

I think Redcoat Kezz said this. And she was right.

We will win/benefit during this competition of games between Harmonix and Neversoft. We win already. The setlists these 2 are bragging up is incredible. We are going to get treated to some really great music this fall.

It's inevitable. I predict many more years of assmagnetism.

I'm excited that they've finally decided to integrate a music studio into the game. It's nice that they are accepting the fact that people want to do this and are actually helping them. Some of the best note trackers that they have for Guitar Hero now actually came from youtube videos that people posted of their own songs, who were then contacted and hired. There's a lot of talented people out there and I think we'll be seeing a whole lot of really cool songs once the game is released. I can't wait!

P.S. I glanced at a few messages which mentioned something about GH ripping of Rock Band. If you want to know the truth Rock Band AND Guitar Hero are both rip offs.

Konami is the originator of these rhythm games. I have been playing Guitar Freaks since 1999, Drummania since 2000 and Activision is paying Konami for using their idea. They know that they took the idea from them and improved upon it... Harmonix just decided to steal the idea and not pay them. That's the only difference.

Lol. Give credit for the idea to who ever you want. That means absolutely nothing to anyone except Konami really. Do we as gamers give a ****? I don't think so.
Harmonix did it better. Even if they weren't the first.

P S Welcome to the forums btw. I remember you from the G4 competition they had recently to find a girl gaming personality. Who won that anyway??

Rumoured setlist for GH:WT. Looks good. A bit of overlap with Rock Band 2 but there's definitely some stuff I want to play on that list. Don't like the idea of multiple songs from one artist but there's only a couple of those.

Unfortunately, Max, I heard that list may be a fake - not least as Give It Away is labelled Take It Away...

It looked like a pretty solid list too, if it does turn out to be fake. And I was quite thrilled at the potential to re-enact a scene from Back to the Future... Sad

ok... so I wasn't just seeing things... I thought that's what it had said when I read it originally but if you go back to the list now, that's been corrected.

If it's real, great. If it's fake, oh well. Once I see a confirmed setlist, I'll be more interested in GH:WT. As it stands right now I'm more excited about Rock Band 2 since it's coming sooner & I've had so much fun with the original.

I'll probably still pick up the GH:WT disc though.

I saw this list yesterday, it looks really impressive, I hope it turns out to be true. Beat it, Comfortably Numb and Paradise City, yes please!

I think I am the only one that doesn't like these games. I don't find them very entertaining.

You're not the only one. They're not my cup of tea either.
