As some of you may know, I'm a member of Florida Ghost Team, a TAPS affiliate. This weekend, we're holding an open application and interview meeting in St. Augustine (click here for details). Most of what we do is residential cases, people contacting us trying to figure out what's going on in their homes. We try to find natural explanations wherever possible, and document anything that might be considered paranormal. We also do "spend-the-night" public events at various locations around the state. Currently we're concentrated in Central and South Florida, although we are looking to add a new team in the Jax/St. Augustine area and possibly a few other areas.

If you've ever seen Ghost Hunters International, we do have a few of our members on that show, most notably Robb Demarest, who is our group's assistant director.

I currently live in Jacksonville, and I'm always looking for stuff like this.. If you guys are doing some nice public events (more near North Florida), I'd love to come check it out!

We're looking for new members from all across the state, so if you're interested and can make it up to St. Augustine this weekend, then by all means go for it.

That South Park episode was pretty funny. I pretty much take all of the paranormal TV shows with a grain of salt. They all suffer from the same dilemma, which is they need to show results to keep their ratings up. If they showed what most investigations are really like, it would be a pretty boring show. I've been doing this for almost 2 years now, it's not very often that you get something really outstanding. Still, I do enjoy traveling around, meeting new people, etc. And every now and then, you do come across something that you just can't quite explain very easily


PS - we're also doing a special 'spend-the-night' event at the Italian Club in Tampa on Nov. 6th, with Robb and Angela from GHI. And on Oct. 30th, we're doing a 'spend the night' at the Lake Worth Playhouse theater. We've gotten a lot of activity in both places, so if you're interested, definitely check us out!

'Spend the night' would be fun during Halloween time.
