Isn't Kristin Batgirl?
And JB, I guess this is fine in its own topic since that was linked in the middle of a post not even on the first page of a thread. Thanks to Phin for the sig! Live GT: l337pino Steam ID: 1337pino |

I honestly don't like the little blurb about Andrew in that article. It makes it sound like he's some stalker or something.
But that's his 15 minutes of fame, I guess? Don't mind me, I'm just being the protective big brother here. :P |

You didn't like the part about him following the girls across the country? |
|||
|
I don't like it, and I don't remember her ever asking anything about that nor did I said I followed them across the country.
O wells, **** happens. |

Sorry, I didn't see it and I looked for it to make sure I didn't double post. oops, my bad. I though it was cool. I think you're awesome! |

I liked it! Andrew I don't think you come across a stalker. Remember we are in the age where most people are part of some sort of online community. So the people that read PCWorld know what you mean.

Welcome to our world Andrew. Last year, I spent a weekend being interviewed by a writer for Marie Claire. We talked about everything, but mostly how I got into gaming. When the article was finally printed it summed me up as a emo girl that burnt my moms house down when I was little. Nothing more.
lol. **** does happen. |

I've said all i'm gonna say about the artivle elsewhere and don't really feel like getting back into it. I'm just a little curious how someone goes from writing journal named the clickable clit to writing articles for PC world. I'm legitimately curious.

You have to start somewhere.

Yeah Marcus most people who write professionally rarely start out in the field they want too. They usually break in wherever someone sees enough talent to take a chance.
Once you have a few articles or stories or political blogs under your belt, its an easy jump to a more mainstream publication. For example, neither MARVEL or DC will look at my scripts because I have no other published work that they can refer to. I need to change that. |

Have you tried smaller publishers? Maybe something like Image or even Dark Horse? Thanks to Phin for the sig! Live GT: l337pino Steam ID: 1337pino |

Cool article!

I'm not sure if Dark Horse are looking for writers, but I believe they are looking for artist, but that was a while back when I heard this. I've heard so many horrible things about working for Marvel, unless you're already a big name in the industry. |

True, I've had the same impression myself. Zee, maybe you should make a web comic. You could still do everything by hand, but just scan it after you finalize the cells. It would be pretty sick and make you stand out as being one of the non digitally drawn/colored comics online. At least then you could start building up a good portfolio and maybe even more fans (you've already got at least one right here Thanks to Phin for the sig! Live GT: l337pino Steam ID: 1337pino |

I think Zee's aim with his level of comic talent is money - and unless you make it really big with webcomics (think Penny Arcade and homestarrunner) you're not going to make much money just doing your own thing online. :/
