Wow what a cool first image to see.
This is Ray Park (Darth Maul) in the role. If the rest of the characters look this good i might go check it out.

I dunno about this movie.

Cool image but the story line has me up in arms.

They've taken American booty kickers and turning them into U.N. boot lickers.

Well given the current political climate they have to think about international distribution. It's also a fact that we're in a war people are tired of. Americans themselves probably wouldn't look kindly on a gung-ho interpretation of war. As an interesting sidenote the joes were always an international force when marketed overseas. And while they were called the real american heroes they did have members from japan, austrailia and great britian on the team.

Some of the casting I like, but one or two Im not sure of. Like Marlon Wayans and the kid they got for Cobra Commander, but his role is not supposed to be as big as Destro who is the main villan.

I understand why they went the whole international route, big budget movies make just as much if not more outside the US. And GI Joe: A real American Hero wouldnt do to well outside the US. But I still think it sucks.

I'd like to add though Park looks bad ass as snake eyes. I'll never doubt the lethality of a sword wielder again.

I'm sorry, but this movie is gonna suck. Snake Eyes looks awesome, but this movie isn't gonna be any good

Ray Park is perfectly cast as Snake Eyes... I hope the movie does well simply in hopes of a spin off for that character...

But the other casting... what the hell... Channing Tatum as Duke? Dude looks like he is about 17... Duke is supposed to be friggin experienced and grizzled... not like a fresh ricky recruit right out of Basic.

He looks sweet. Too bad the movie will probably suck.

Exactly. They tend to mess up anything good, but I'll still go see it cause I am G.I JOE fan. Cobra Commander for Prez '08!

But he should always have his mask on, so I'm going to hope he can really act, cause his pretty face ain't going to help the movie.

I really hope they go by comic book Cobra Commander who never dies, no matter the situation.

The Snake Eyes getup looks awesome. I just hope they take the time in post-production to edit out the the creases in his "muscles" every time he bends any part of his body. It looks like the muscle suit is meant to make him look like a ripped dude in skin tight fabric, rather than some kind of sculpted body armour. If it is body armour, then I'll be able to take it a bit more seriously. Well, as seriously as you can take a G.I.JOE movie.

Oh wow, why didn't I know about this thread. Knowing Is Half The Battle!

Though I had been a G.I. Joe fan when I was a young'in (collected a lot of their action figures), I technically only care about 2 characters: Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. Three (now that I've grown up) for Baronness, because she's hawt. :P

But yeah, these early pics of Snake Eyes look badass. Arashikage Clan for life!

Makes me want to use my old Snake Eyes sig. Perhaps I should make a new one out of these images...
