Any body else looking forward to this one? I love trivia games, scene it was great but being "free" and being able to maybe play with more than 4 players would be great. Its looking pretty interesting and I think has the potential to be a great community game

any thoughts?

This reminds me of the Scene nights we've had

I first saw this when xbox changed theie interface. I was so excited and have been waiting to long. Bring it on!

I'm playing right now. I'm really enjoying it.

It starts out five minutes before the scheduled time. You select the option to join the lobby & you hang out in there for the five minutes. During that time, you hear the host talking (explaining the game/rules etc) & you get matched up with three other people in a party that you can talk to throughout show.

Once it starts you either get chosen to be the one, the mob (the 100) or the crowd. Then the round starts. The questions are all multiple choice with three choices.

If you're in the crowd, you're just playing along, building up points. From what I've read, the more points you build up from playing in the crowd, the more likely you are to get picked to be in the mob or the one.

I managed to get in the Mob for one of the rounds. Had it been out of Beta, I would've won 80 Microsoft Points & an XBLA game.

There are still some issues (I didn't get to hear the host until like half way through) but overall, really fun. I can definitely see myself playing this a lot when it launches (and more in the Beta).

I was playing it as well for awhile, although the Champions Online beta was calling me back so I only played a few rounds.

Still, it was fun and I can see myself getting super addicted to trying to win prizes and points.

Is this why Xbox Live is acting very sluggish tonight? I'm trying to access stuff on the Marketplace, but it's taking forever for anything to really come up.

X-Live is having issues tonight. Just accept gaming uncomfortably or, just turn off your box and find an alternative.

Dear god..am I the only person that signed up for that beta and didnt get an invite

If they can segment regions with this game, then it will be attractive. It sounds like that is the main issue with this game being finished. There are what? 14 million plus people on live so, if this isn't an attainable goal for everyone then, what's the point? Sounds interesting. From what Max conveys. Winning microsoft points from to crowd is a win.

Heh. With the release date in mid-July, I imagine it'll be into open beta pretty soon.

I haven't heard anything about segmenting regions for the game (and I know for a fact that there were some Americans in the game last night because Mechangel was online playing too). Doing so would be a logistical nightmare with the Live aspect of the show & having the Live host.

You have to remember a couple of things; a) That 14 Million Members number probably includes a lot of Silver memberships. This game is a Gold Exclusive. b) The game probably won't launch to all XBL regions. I wouldn't be surprised if the game is only available in the US, Canada & maybe the UK.

As for the connection issues being what's keeping it from being finished, you're probably right... But that's what the Beta is for. I stayed connected for the entire two hour Live session last night but I know from reading the Beta forums on Xbox.com that some people were having issues.

It's already been said that they're going to have a bunch of the issues fixed by Tuesday night's session.

And about the Microsoft points, you don't win any of those if you're in the crowd. The top three scoring crowd members get XBLA games I believe. To qualify to win Microsoft Points, you have to make it to the Mob (which I did) or to the One.

Another note is that you can only make it to the Mob once per two hour live session & you can only be the One once per 'Season' (which I believe I read will last 13 weeks).

So Max, whats the final verdict? Is it fun? Do you like it?

Sure do. I've been playing all of the Live shows, including some with people from work.

There's also half hour Extended Play episodes where they just throw a stream of questions at you (30-40) & you get points for answering correctly, which then help your chances of being the One or being in the Mob during the Live shows. I don't like them as much (mainly because the questions are all really obscure Canadian trivia right now) but they're still entertaining.

From what I'm hearing, it sounds like there may actually be a US Beta sometime in the near future. I wouldn't be shocked if there are some details announced at Microsoft's E3 Press Conference.

I have around 500k total score. its great.

Man I have been waiting for this game. I have a head full of useless knowledge. Might as well win som MS points with it.

so Max, It it all random rooms or can you set up some kind of party?
