Wow I would have thought it would be longer than 24 hours. I am glad they are doing this for breast cancer though. That should be no problem for them. When are they going to do this so we can keep them awake?

This should answer your question Smile

It's going on right now as I type this. For me, it started at midnight Saturday morning in Hawaii. I was able to dive right in and be the first to join the UK Dolls in their record breaking attempt. I spent two and a half hours with them and it was good fun. I'm going to be going to bed and then jumping back in sometime after breakfast when it should still be going on. It should be evening for them while it will be around the morning time for me.

If any of you want to join in on all this fun, look for their gamertags on Live: Jam FDUK, Kitt FDUK, and Sarin FDUK. Be sure to have a copy of Vegas 2, of course.

Good luck to the UK Dolls in their record breaking attempt.

I watched a ton of vids of these ladies.

They impress me a ton. Keep up the great job girls. Thumbs Up

My record for conitnuous gameplay is 19 hours straight. Take away drink/snack runs & bathroom pit stops. It was grueling, and going a full 24 hours will be a daunting task. I have faith that they can do it. Great cause to. That makes this even more relevant.

Ive been trying to figure this out, If he used both hands to hit the buttons, then how did he strum the guitar? With his elbow?

I probably should have worded it better, lol. During the hammer on/ pull of notes where you dont need to strum, he would used both hands to press on the fret buttons. it soo crazy how he does it too. perfect timing and everything!

That's amazing! Did you get video footage of him playing?

Good luck to the UK Dolls record breaking attempt! 24 hours doesn't seem like very long, but I'd probably change my mind about that after playing 12 hours straight. Smile

Wasn't this blog about the uk dolls?

Wow. We got US dolls spamming(technically) their own thread about the other dolls.

Go friggen figure. We are toasting to this for sure. Cheers!

Yes. Building on that thought, what I'm saying is, is that I believe, the UK dolls do a better job at being in touch with their community and being directly involved with their responsibilities as a girl gamer in general. I can see where the media they produce is without a doubt, more dense in constructive gaming content. Better yet. On a more structured guideline as far as what they are geared for.

Why do I say this? All I can say, is that when I read or view content from each side, I get a better vibe and more educated feeling of what I've listened to, or read.

In other words. I haven't seen them blogging about Kitchen mixers, or their brand new homemade computer which someone else built, or an 'invented', "ask a doll" Q & A blog, where 90% of the questions are just plain idiotic in thought and really suffice to just past time, as well to serve absolutely no purpose what so ever. In fairness. There are a couple of true meaningfull Q's submitted. But let's face it. The real reason for it being there, is to fill in holes for when you dolls can't figure out anything interesting to blog about in your field. Right? Right.

Yeah his tapping technique was pretty sick. People just pretty much adopted a real life guitar technique and he does it very well

we are one of the most hardcore gamers out there. We are not casual gamers who have time to play single player games to blog about and you should know that being a "competitive gamer" yourself.

Sometimes we blog about Ubi games, sometimes we blog about our competition and sometimes we blog about our personal lives. I think we give a good variety of blogs and as a matter of a fact, our personal blog (which are also posted on our myspace)get the most attention and replies because people can relate to them and people enjoy reading them.

My blog is about something that is a good cause and I thought it deserved some recognition.

Your opinion seems to be anecdotal(technically speaking).

Wow. You're just being mean-spirited.

I'm curious as to your definition of spamming, and what are you talking about specifically?

If you find our blogs and forums so dissatisfying, why don't you GO AWAY.

Well, all I have to say is . . . .

THEY DID IT!!!!!!

The UK Dolls have done it--24 hours straight of gaming on a FPS. I was there for the beginning of this record setting attempt and I was there (kind of) when it ended.

They all sounded in good spirits all the way through. Everyone was helpful and supportive. I got loads of XP points and ACES points, and I'm now a corporal, and almost halfway towards making it to sergeant.

Congratulations to the UK Dolls on their record setting feat.

Now they need just one more thing . . . .

SLEEP!!!

That is fantastic! Congrats UK Dolls! Good job on setting a recod.

Man, that makes me want to set a record, too. I can't think of any new cool records we could set. Any ideas?

Great job stiking it out with them, Arc. Did you play with them for the full 24 hours?

Doc, your critique is an interesting one. I hope you will consider that the two teams clearly have different focuses. We do a lot of sponsor support, competition, event attendance, etc. Our website is only a fraction of the work the team is doing. The UK team has a focus that does look more towards their website content as a priority than we do. And I think it's great that they have so much great stuff because it's a good resource to go to for opinions on current events, etc. I like ours in a different way because I enjoy the more random, personal look into the various Frag Dolls' lives, because it does show how different we all are while still having the same end goal. Smile

And, uh, I didn't hear you complaining about AAD when you were submitting questions and getting them answered, hmmm?

No, I think if I total up the amount of time I spent playing with them, it comes up to about eight hours, or about a third of the way through the 24 hours.

((Note the following is based on the time in Hawaii)):

I started at around midnight (10am for them in the UK) and played with them until around 2am or 2:30am (I forgot exactly when I signed off, but I know I didn't get to sleep until around 3am). Then I restated playing with them around 10:30am or 11am, spent almost an hour and a half with them, then broke for lunch, and came back again for about an hour, then went out for a few hours. I finally logged back on around 8:30pm and went all the way until midnight with them. So yeah, around seven and a half hours, more or less.

That is a record for me and my 360. I'm giving it a long rest until later on tonight. Yep, I'm going back to Vegas again for another round.

I really see nothing wrong in blogging about kitchen mixers or anything non-gaming related to be honest. Gaming isn't (shouldn't be) the only meaningful element in a gamer's life.

It's a blog, and people blog about all kind of stuff. In the end if one isn't interested in an article, he can just skip it.

Anyway, congrats to the UK dolls, they definately did great Big Grin
