the only game on facebook I play is TicToc. I don't allow apps ever. I think facebook is lame-o for allowing crap like that on their site.

Facebook apps are evil like that! The first time I played "Mafia Wars", I really thought that viewing a brief timeshare marketing video would get me free items. When they started asking me for my paypal information, however, I figured they were up to no good. -_-

Playing games on a socal networking site should have been your first warning. Never install any of those stupid apps and your life will be much better for it.

I played FarmVille for a couple of days and loved it, because it has some Harvest Moon elements and Harvest Moon is my warm and fuzzy game that I simply adore.

I got bored with it after a while, though. I'd rather play Harvest Moon.

Still, the scams on facebook are ridiculous. I think all of us have at least almost fell for a scam like that at some point. Thanks for the heads up, Amy.

I NEVER play any of those games. I also don't use Craigs list because of the Africa based scams.

Play games on your console, not your social networking site.

Yeah, I got really into farmtown there for a little while. I never did any of those "earn more money" things though.

BTW, if you do get charged that 9.99, call your cell phone provider and tell them what happened. They SHOULD credit back the money and be able to block the messages. They usually have no problem with it since it's a 3rd party charge and doesn't have anything to do with the provider themselves.

It is true... call your cell phone provider. They will issue credit and unsubscribe you from the services and block the content. It has happened to the best of us

the only facebook app worth a damn is Flair.

It is an interesting way to get to know people. I find that people will often put up a piece of flair that says something that they would not normally say.
