I went to one years and years ago when I was a little kid, and before I could appreciate awesome stuff like that.

I would love to go to one now, though. I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan, and I love Warcraft (played WoW a little, but mainly into Warcraft 3), Guild Wars, and used to play Runescape every waking moment when I was a teenager, so the whole medieval setting is fascinating to me. I'll definitely go to a festival sometime.

And I couldn't help but notice your kitty, how cute. In Love I loooove animals, and cats especially. I have a little kitten and he's such a cutie pie. Heart What's your cat's name, and how old is it? He/she is awfully gorgeous! I love long haired cats.

Awesome, girl!
It came out great - you're getting good at the videos, and I love that you always have them going to some ROCK.
Never been to a Renaissance fair, always wanted to- this video stoked my desire to visit one even more!

I have never had a dog, so I was raised with kitties. I have four kitties (Baxter, Baily, Bleeker and Beta) the one in the video was baxter. He is the coolest cat ever...and photogenic...Smile

I grew up with kitties until I was 13, that's when we got our dog. I do love dogs too, but I'm really a cat person at heart. <3

Baxter is adorable! And I also find it interesting how all of your kitty names start with a B. Razz

Was that the Tortuga Twins? I love them and the Washing Well Wenches.

I also love picking up leather roses that they usually spray with perfume.

I go to the Tampa Bay Renaissance Festival every year and will try to make it to the Sarasota one this month since I'll be there for the Stephen King book tour Smile

Great vid btw!

omg I love Renaissance festivals! I used to work at one as a performer for about six years, that took some of the magic away for me but I still love to go. I don't dress up anymore, but there's just something wonderful about a day full of greasy food and street improv and shopping for scented oils!

Oh the happiness, oh the joy!

Thov lady, hath the greatest time!

For your information: if you are going to do this next year again and if you don't have any problems with copyright infringement, choose Blackmore's night, fairport convention, estampie, l'ham de foc, renaissance (the band) music as background music. That one hath discrepency all over it.

@on topic: I tried to go to Blackmore's night concert as a squire in Istanbul but since Turks' past is full of barbaric idiots I could only find ottoman warrior suits (jannisary stuff) So I couldn't go as a squire : (

Wish I were there. Because sono un uomo del rinascimento.

I can't believe I missed this post, I love going to the Renaissance Festival! We go every year for my birthday since it's around the same time. Big Grin It looks like you're in the one in Concord/Charlotte? That's the one we go to too. One of my favorite acts is Don Juan and Miguel. This year one of our friends got hypnotized and she was totally under...and it was awesome. lol

You should probably scope your local one out first. The Ren fairs I've been to used to be completely medieval outings (you know... from the Renaissance era.) Sure, some people chose to represent the mythology from the time, but it's still quite a bit different than what's represented in modern games and books. Wink

Also: do you still play Guild Wars? My brother and I need a couple more people for PvP.
