If you haven't tries high stakes yet. It really different from the regular shooting modes. Even the reticule is different.

Well this is a change. A rainbow game on the consoles that actually awards you for using the sights. A good change if I do say so. Starting to enjoy rainbow again after playing a few maps on this mode.

There one thing I do like about the new high stakes mode.
No radar! Radar has to be the single most game mode ruining attribute fps/tps has today. Why is it even there???? Hopefully, devs will wise up here soon and eliminate it totally in future releases. It's a team game. make it an option for player matches. Ranked matches should be no radar default. Then we can see who the 'good' teams are. |

Having radar doesn't give an unfair advantage to anyone, as long as all sides have it.

Uhhh. Ok. But explain why it's necessary. Especially, when you have a team that can communicate positioning. It's redundant to the gameplay and un-necessary clutter on a game hud. Get rid of it. |

But a team that can communicate positioning is probably used to radar. Maybe. Plus you can spend a stupidly long time looking for firefights (that you can hear) without it.
Radar can be toggled on and off by the player and is off by default as far as I know. I don't know if there's a host option to disable that choice individually for a level playing field; I imagine there would be. |

I just prefer no radar. Gameplay is better imo.
I'm talking in general for all shooters. I think the radar is kinda stupid. Players shouldn't automatically have, 'ican see you' abilties when playing a warfare game. For a game with air strike capabilty maybe. I actually like how COD4 does it. You have to EARN it first. Even then, the opposing player has a right to use a perk to not show up on it anyway. Hats off Activision. You guys really know what's up. |

My friend's borrowing Vegas, so it builds up the excitement for me to get it back. After all, those maps were few and easy to memorize. I would pay anything for a title update, so I'm just glad this one's free.

Random respawns as a remedy for spawn-camping is farging WETAHDED.
The LAST thing any serious Rainbow fan wants is to have an opponent respawn in a room he just cleared. You would think that the devs would have asked themselves from the very beginning what the #1 complaint was about Lockdown, with its introduction of respawning, and that they would have brainstormed to come up with a realistic design change. For example, one of those recent Splinter Cell's had an excellent form of multiplayer where opposing sides would begin in areas inaccessible to the other. Objectives were in the accessible middle-ground. True Combat: Elite kills the player who shoots an opponent while he is still in his spawn area. It works extremely well. The whole idea of SEEING an opponent spawn in front of you is an unrealism that we have come to accept. No imagination of more realistic ways to handle spawning? The new multiplayer game style sounds cool, but random respawns is ... :P It's a goat-screw to prevent mass rapine. |
