(Not intelligent and probably wouldn't work online but my buddy used that to shut down every comment that came his way and it never fails)

Do what I do Psyche, don't wear a headset when you play. Because I agree with you and all, I'm sick of potty-mouthed trash-talking jerks when I play, but the best thing I can do is not wear a headset.......or if you playing RB6:V or something, just plug in a headset but don't put it on

Theres and old statement or adage, (whatever), that says actions are louder than words.

I understand the position ppl are in when they just want to say something back.

I have a better solution, if you don't find a "Intelligent" Comeback. Just 'try' and beat them at their own game. Never works for me, but, I'm sure it works for every1 else.

The thing is it is hard to get idiots to shut up but whatever come back you have, I would try to make it short and sweet and not get dragged into a screaming competition over the mic.

For example, one of my personal favorite comebacks goes something like "yea, bottom line is you lost." And when they scream into the mic, I just laugh, which usually makes them angrier. If their rant is hilarious, I'll try to remember to tell my friends about it .

Now if I'm on the losing end and the other team trash talks, I try to leave the lobby or game as soon as possible.

Just say, "Do you feel better now?" Then mute them.

Trash talking between friends in a humorous tone is fun. 'Puns', as I like to call them are pretty cool, if they aren't the overused versions of fun n flap. Some noteworthy quotes I like about TT and puns.

If I run into someone who is trash talking or bothering me on xbox live the solution is simple. Mute. If what the person said was bad enough then bad feedback will be left. If what the person did was really bad then a complaint is then filed. It's that simple.
