Forum Rules

Reread Before Posting. We encourage proper punctuation, or the occasional use of a period at the very least. If you're really trying to contribute to a conversation you want people to be able to understand you, right? Right? If you don't make any effort, don't expect anyone else to make the effort to read your posts.

Post in the Correct Forum. You'll notice, looking at our community gateway, that there are multiple forums. To help you out, each forum has a description of the kinds of posts expected there. Please make the effort to post your topics in the appropriate forum. Don't make us go through the extra effort of moving your post because you were too lazy to do it right in the first place.

Search to Avoid Similar Threads. Even if your topic is the most original topic in the world, it's still a good idea to do a quick search of the Frag Doll forums to make sure there's not already a similar thread, or a thread where your comment would be better placed. If you make a duplicate thread, it will be locked, and you will be laughed at. And clowns will be sent to your house to laugh at you as well.

No "Favorite Frag Doll" Threads. Do not make posts about which Frag Doll is your favorite. We've had them a million times, and every one has been locked. In spite of what you might think, it's not a compliment to single-out a Frag Doll on a public forum as the hottest! It's silly and we won't stand for it. If you must have a preference, and you probably do, keep it to yourself. We're not trading cards to compare.

No Flaming or Trolling. Flaming/Trolling (attacking and/or verbally abusing another person or group vehemently and unreasonably) is a bannable offense in our community, no matter who "started it." We value considerate gamers, and we don't have time for trolls with no sense of decorum. If you are trolling in our community we will ban you. There need be no warnings.

No Advertisement of External Sites. There is a difference between posting an interesting link to a video, music, article, etc. and using the Frag Doll community as a means to boost your site stats. Do not create threads advertising your own unrelated site without obtaining permission. We will not lock these threads. We will delete them. Placing a link to your site in your signature is an acceptable alternative.

No Talk of Piracy. This should be common sense. Do not talk about stealing games or otherwise procurring them illegally on these forums. Emulation, unless officially sanctioned, is technically piracy. Err on the side of caution.

Mark Your Spoilers. If you create a thread containing "spoiler" content for a game, movie, book, etc. Mark the thread title clearly with a [SPOILERS] tag. Please don't ruin the experiences of others by carelessly exposing important information.

Signatures and Avatars must comply with guidelines. Read this thread for the global Ubisoft forum signature and avatar guidelines. Signatures and avatars that do not comply are subject to removal or edit by a moderator.

Jinx will kick all newcomers at least once. If she fails to kick you, you entitled to two free headbutts from an available Frag Doll at a future time.

Ops are the boss of you. Disobey them at your own peril. Or if you just have a nasty rebellious streak.

Turn on auto-rejoin. Random channel kicks are an IRC past-time, and are not personal (usually). To protect yourself from being left in the cold and rain, booted from the channel by a heartless op, we implore you to enable this feature in your IRC client.

If you take a random kick as serious business, you are entitled to one free headbutt to teach you the error of your ways. See the "auto-rejoin" rule above.

Ops are expected to behave like grown-ups. Kicks are fun. Bans lasting more than 60 seconds had better be serious. Ops breaking this rule will be deoped permanently.

Ops will not rescind another op's ban. If you have been banned from the channel for more than 60 seconds (see the "serious business" rule above), take it up with the op who banned you.

Ops are chosen by a grueling process of absolute whim. The permanent ops (Binary, xloob, and the frag dolls) are really in charge. IRC regulars may be op'ed or deop'ed based on humor, circumstance, vendetta, time of day, and/or smelliness.
