Finally, a reason to download a community game is on LIVE.
KODU: Game Lab is a game creation tool that includes pictogram stle programming to make it easy enough for a child to build a game from scratch. (meaning all of us can do it) share the games online with your friends. Play MP on you games. This thing is pretty awesome. The whole thing looks all cute and simple when you open it up, but them you realize it is as deep as the ocean. It is expected to have new items availible in the future to create RPG's and FPS games as well. Currently it allows you to make Shooter and platformer style games. Check it out, it is worth the very very low $5 cost. I am designing my first game now which has waves of flying fish fighting against Jet airplanes. |

This is one that I've been interested in ever since I first read about it awhile back. It will be interesting to see what people can come up with.
Although I find the vast majority of the Community Games to be homemade versions of other games (how many versions of Tetris do we need), I have found a few that are very good. Miner Dig Deep and Carnyvale are a couple of Community Games that are worth downloading. |

This KODU thing is very impressive. I have decided to expand my game to make it more like Geometry Wars with a butt ton of enemies to fight. It will take some time to make it because i am still working out the programming parts. You can really give some commands to everything. 6 pages for each item in the game world. Each page can be like 20 lines of programmed code.
I already have an idea for another game as well. Its more ambitious though so i will get to that one later. Has anyone given this a try yet? |

I'm going to get this since I've always wanted to create my own games and hope to be a game designer someday, so this is a nice intro to it.
Will probably get it tonight or tomorrow. Xbox Live Nation Content Editor |

Is it worth spending the 400 points? I got a large point card to get Worms 2 & Battlefield 1943 and I've got some points left over so I'm thinking about downloading this.
I downloaded the trial & haven't played with it yet but I don't know if this is something that you can really get a feel for in a limited trial version. |

The tutorial is really fast and allows you to basically program a Kodu to go from point A to point B. andd maybe shoot some rockets.
Its well worth the 400 points. Seriously this thing is deep and you can really go wild if you put the time into it. Its loaded with both tutorials and premade games and code so you can start out easy. |
