Oh you are just adorable!

Palin will be back when Obama's done. Whether that's a good idea or not remains to be seen....

Palin is a step back for the GOP, and I highly doubt she could even survive the Republican primary.

Assuming of course that this resignation is in preparation for a 2012 presidential run, of course.

No way she would survive the primary, not now.
She would be an idiot to run for president, all of america would be laughing at her again. Good move on her part.

She's bad for the party in that the country would never elect her. However, I can see her winning the primaries because she, for some odd reason, has a huge following.

It's good that she is resigning...but is she moving into pr0n or am I just getting my hopes up?

The fact that she has any kind of "following" to begin with just goes to show how completely inept people are.

Actually it is not a good thing, especially if she is dropping completely out of politics.

Many think that the GOP needs an infusion. Well, she is that infusion. Shame that there are those who went after her for her efforts to clean up Alaskan politics. Sure she is a bit of a neophyte, but then again, our newest President is one too and is only in his second elected office compared to Palin.

I've heard some talk that there might be a huge scandal - possibly even a criminal investigation - on the way, that this might have been a preemptive move. Something about them having a house built for free - so stay tuned. Could be completely wrong, but she has been surrounded by ethical controversies.

Good for her, get out of the public eye. There was just so much wasted money on those ethics complaints. At least now the LT. Governor can focus on the state.

I was going to post what brimtown did, but he got to it first so I'd like to add my two cents.

This may actually be a bad thing. Yes we all know Palin is an inept politician with a past full of bubbling scandals who might get laughed at if she ran again. With that said I would absolutely love her to remain in office and provide another chink in the GOP's armor to take advantage of. Who knows, they might actually get somebody charismatic, competant and clean in there.
