It called a Bio Ionic One Pass

I saw a few months ago it was on sale at Amazon for 103 dollars, which is like 95 dollar cheaper then what I paid for mine. Eek

It's worth every penny!

That looks amaaaazing. Eek

Being as I have been blowing all of my savings on video games lately, I'll have to wait a little bit before I can upgrade to that heavenly straightener, but I definitely will upgrade later on. My hair is very thick, and some straighteners tend to dry it out, so this would be perfect!

It really depends on what your hair is like, and the straightener itself, of course. I used to have a wet to dry straightener, but like I said earlier, my hair is very, very thick, so it didn't work well for me at all. It dried it, and somewhat straightened it, but it left me hair a little frizzy and poofy. On the other hand, my aunt had very fine hair, and it worked perfectly for her. Having that said, if your hair is thick (which, judging by your avatar, looks like it is), then I wouldn't recommend it.

Takes a long time for me to dry and straighten my hair too, but one thing that helps is if you take a shower before you go to bed, let it dry overnight, and straighten in the morning. That will cut the time in half. Smile

This is a great thread for the ladies Big Grin

My hair is naturally curly, so I can't really tell you what brand of curlers would be the best, but I would definitely go with ceramic over metal. Metal will fry your hair, but ceramic somehow keeps the moisture in. After seeing such a huge difference with going from metal flat iron to ceramic, I bought a ceramic hair dryer as well, and it really does make a big difference.

Anyway, I'm glad you like this thread. Big Grin I was a little hesitant to post it at first, since we mainly discuss video games, but the whole forum was designed around a bunch of girls after all, so of course we need some girl threads from time to time! In Love

EvilQueen and I were just recently discussing straighteners. I bought the first ceramic one I could find, and because I have thin hair it works great. Her hair is really thick with big curls. She ordered one from here and llllllllloves it: http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1558.html

Also, I use the straightener primarily as a curling iron. It's rare that I use it as a straightener for my already-stick-straight thin hair. On Saturday night at PAX I used my straightening iron to curl my hair and it's honestly the best curling tool I've ever used without a hairdresser.

Going out for the internet know-it-all douchebag of the year award.

Wow, your hair looks gorgeous! I just ordered a Chi straightener that curls as well, so I'm excited to try both. Even though my hair naturally curls, I think using the Chi would make the curls softer.

Must be nice to have naturally straight hair. One benefit of that is that you can get out of the pool and your hair will look halfway decent when it dries on its own, but I always have to fix mine every time it gets wet,and if I get rained on, I'll have a frizz city going on. Too Happy

I've heard that Chi straighteners are awesome... haven't had the extra $$ to invest in one yet. Razz I saw a few on ebay for less than $20, I think it might be a trap. >_>

I went with the Chi and never looked back and bought one for my sister too. They are expensive but worth it.

Try ebay or other online retailers. However, I've grown to accept my curly hair and actually love it now. Still working on a children's story about it actually.

It's just a pain to maintain more than just wearing my hair curly especially if I'm working an event. So I use Aveda Be curly products. They smell good, feel good, and are organic.

Thanks for the awesome sig Phin!

You know when you're taking a dump and you go to wipe, thinking all the Cosby children have been dropped off at the pool, and there's a little nugget just clinging on for dear life and you wipe and it makes a giant mess and you have to go through half a roll of TP to perform damage control?

I hate that.

Once you start using these, you'll never feel clean without them.

I also love how you do your makeup. You have this edgy look to you. Like you're drop dead gorgeous, but you'll kick a guy's butt if he is too forward with you. lol. Too Happy

I think that's the kind of look most of us gamer girls go for. Razz And you succeed. Cool

If you don't have a ton of cash to drop on a straightener, I have had an andis for a LONG time. It was only like 13 dollars at walmart...

I bought it because I was at a friends house for the weekend, and she didn't have a straightener... and this cheapo thing has been trusty-dusty for a long time.

I frag on the first date.
As we all know, money can't buy knives.
