Although, I will say that COD4 is the better game overall. Many different reasons. The grenade system is far more realistic. It's the one thing that I can't stand in RS. They messed up the whole grenade package. Fortunately, the rest of RS is solid. Enough for me to enjoy getting on there often. I wish the a.c.e.s.'s system wouldn't max out so quickly. By the time I got warrant officer, my aces's was already maxed. No factor anymore. Yet it still keeps adding points. Why? After level 20 there's nothing else to achieve.
Outside of those little things, I agree with your blog. They are both solid warfare shooters. I would just give they best overall to COD4 cause of the way they made everything work so well. RS has made great improvements, and I hope they will continue to do so in the future.

Yeah, COD4 is quite "shoot and run like a mental so you can keep your kill streak going" and yelling "****! Enemy chopper!!" Can't say I noticed the graphics... but that's only because I tend to get straight in there and start the shooting and fragging. Though I did notice them on the SP flashback level. The G3, I think, is a pain to use but I'm sticking with it for now then moving back to the M16. Maybe
R6V2 does demand tactics, especially in Terrorist Hunt. I like the ACES system for illustrating to me where my strengths lie in gameplay terms; I tend to be more inclined to use the first two of the three areas, which are at the same level now (11) while the third is currently around level 8, I think

I think cod4 is the best made FPS in years. Has very few flaws. Not a whole lot of glitches either. Obviously RB6 is much slower paced and involves mostly indoor maps. COD4 is mostly outdoors which changes the gameplay dramatically.
RB6 is by no means a bad game. My favorite series has always been Ghost Recon. If a new GRAW was out currently I would play that instead of COD4. But that's just my preference. COD4 is actually made better than any Ghost Recon game. I just love 3rd person. And I don't mind the little slower pace also.
Ubisoft should take some of the elements from IW and add them to future RB6 and GR games. Can't go wrong by copying a few things from the number 1 game on xbl.
I have to agree with Psyche, I can't choose. I love both of these games, although lately been more toward RSV2. I love the challenge of Vegas 2. I do enjoy getting into a room with a bunch of friends and using teamwork to successfully complete the objective.
The only thing i would add is that the addition of the sprint feature in R6:V2 has made that game a little more COD4 like in its gameplay. it just allows you to move faster through the maps than you ever could. These games could be siblings that were adopted out to different families at birth.
I think Rainbow Six has my vote. I just love any game that allows me to invert on a Rappell and kill someone. But I also love Call of Duty 4, just not as much as Rainbow Six.
