This game is friggin' awesome. The song selection is incredible. The visuals are, well, quite simply stunning and psychedelic. In fact, I've missed a few easy notes because I was distracted by the visuals. The songs might not be the most challenging per se, but it's the Beatles for crying out loud. On top of that, you can unlock lots of photos and video footage, such as their rehearsal for the Ed Sullivan show.

Get it.

I got it on Wednesday when it came out & played through the story mode last night on Guitar. Now, this is coming from someone who has been called a Rock Band Fanboy at times but I have to say, this game is so easy that it was monotonous to play through.

I got to one song near the end where I was almost falling asleep at the end of the song because it was about three minutes of the same 10 second loop over & over.

I guessed that the hardest difficulty on guitar in Beatles: Rock Band is probably equal to about a four in difficulty in Rock Band 2.

That said, other then that, Harmonix did a great job on the game. The visuals & the dreamscapes are really cool & there's a lot of little features in this that I wish would come to Rock Band 2, such as the three second countdown when coming back if you pause it or the friend leaderboards on the song selection screen.

Despite my complaints with the difficulty or the lack thereof (which will probably keep me from going back to the game much because it's just not a ton of fun to play), if there's ever a band that deserved their own game, it's The Beatles.

That's the thing, it's not really meant to be a very challenging game, it's more of a social game. Whereas GH: Metallica and the upcoming GH: Van Halen will be quite a bit more challenging.

I'd still love to see a KISS game, whether it be GH or RB. Again, it wouldn't be all that challenging, but would be one heckuva party game.

I love this game, despite that it's not that challenging, this is still the most fun I've had with a rhythm game. Maybe because I grew up listening to all these songs and I can sing along to most of them that I don't mind how easy they are, that's not what this game is about. Every song is so good, along with the visuals that accompany them, that I didn't mind playing the same songs over and over for some one the harder achievements. If I didn't have to go to work right now, I would definitely be playing it.

Even though the guitar/bass/drums aren't terribly challenging, the harmonized vocals most certainly are. Part of the fun of the game, for me at least, is being able to just play some Beatles songs with my friends without worrying about someone failing out on the harder difficulties.

(but you can read my full thoughts here http://www.gamedibs.com/dibs/n...les-rock-band-review Thumbs Up )

I liked it a lot! Thumbs Up
The songs are pretty easy, but it still was a bunch of fun. I think the set list could have been longer to add in some more big hits that were left out. But there is always DLC. Overall I was pretty happy with it. I already beat the story mode in like 2 hours, but like any rockband I'm sure I'll be playing it over and over.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I need Metallica level of difficulty or anything but there were times when it was downright boring to play on Guitar.

That said, if you're looking for the game to help you get used to having the orange notes when moving from Medium to Hard, this is your game. I might even go back through & do it on Hard at some point, which would be a first for me.

Now, the other thing is, I was doing it on Guitar, which is not my preferred method of playing Rock Band. As most people know around here, my specialty is singer but due to the PAX cold that most who attended came home with, that wasn't an option for me this week, so I am looking forward to going back & playing through the chapter challenges on vocals & should find it a lot more fun.

Again though, I think Harmonix did a wonderful job on the game & I look forward to playing it in a group with people that are maybe a little more familiar with the Beatles & their music but I'll mostly be sticking with Rock Band 2 for my Rhythm game fix.

What makes the game so great is the fact that....... it has great music. As opposed to half the crap on RB or GH.

I absolutely love this game being a big beatles fan growing up. Some songs are boring on guitar but it is all about the experience and presentation. Nothing beats having 4 people over playing each instrument and try to sing in harmony!
I will say that anyone with epilepsy who watches "I am the Walrus" will die instantly.

I want to like this game, really I do. I am a singer, and the fact that there are three mics with up to three part harmony's is awesome. I had fun playing with the guys at PAX...

But it's Beatles and nothing more Frown I HATE the Beatles! I don' know why they couldn't throw in a few songs that I actually like to sing from bands I like so that this game would actually appeal to me.

I'm not big on Aerosmith but picked up the GH game cause it has songs by other bands. And despite being a Metallica fan I think that even if you took all Metallica songs from their game you'd still have a great set list.

If only they had like 20 non Beatles songs I could really get into this, but they don't so I guess they alienated me from this game Frown

So you would have been interested in this game if it would have had 20 non-Beatles songs? There are seven other rhythm games (not including the Aerosmith, AC/DC, and Metallica versions) out there. This all about offering up a brand new experience, a much more immersive experience. So yeah, I'd say that if you're not a Beatles fan, then you're probably going to be alienated by this game. Just like if you're not a Batman fan, then you might be alienated by the new Batman Arkham Asylum game.

I have had so much fun with this game! I played through the story on drums the day it came out. I like that its not off the charts hard to play, for me The Beatles is more about fun than challenge. I actually got my mom to play it and she loved it!

Definitely glad they did not add non-Beatles songs. I agree with Brimtown, plenty of other games already out there for people that don't dig The Beatles. Nothing wrong with not liking The Beatles BTW. :P

The Beatles are magical. This game is a delight; it just needs more songs...like, all of the songs.

I know lots of people like the Beattles, but I just don't enjoy most of ther songs. Most of the songs in this game I've never even heard of before. This is the problem with making a one band game, you are really limiting the market that will actually buy the game. I would never buy Beattles Rock Band even if it was the best game ever.
