Yeah, I've lost more money than I've actually contributed to the 401k this year. We are young though, so that is not something to worry about. It is actually a good thing if you are making contributions because it means you are buying stock at a low price, and as long as it goes back up in the next 30 years (which is very likely) then there is nothing to worry about.

Stocks not part of a retirement saving plan however... yeah we're ****ed for the next little while.

With everything being down so much at the moment, I'm seriously considering jumping into the market. GM is looking tempting, currently at its lowest price since 1950.
