My competitive spirit is searing hot right now! Hubby and me have been playing Street Fighter 4 for 3 hours straight and he has been kicking my butt with either Ryu or Ken! I can't beat him no matter who I use! He has this signature move where he traps me with a charged up shoruken punch and then uses Ryu's Special Haduken blast! With Ken, he traps me with a random combo and follows it in with a Shoruken and Special combo. These combo come out of no where! I don't get a chance to react and counter them!

Are there any good moves or characters that I can use to stop Ryu and Ken? Is Akuma any good?

on the spectrum of street fighter's it really isn't that much fun. especially since they made a lot of inputs easier, so all you see in some matches now are like 1000 shoryukens

It seems like 99.999999% of everyone online plays with Ken or Ryu. They're way too common for my taste, and need nerfed desperately.

My favorite character is Vega, but he's difficult to win with. Though I personally recommend Fei Long, he's great once you get used to him.

Its so true! The combos just come out of no where! Even with quick and nimble characters like Cammy and Chun-Li I can't find an opening to stop either Ken or Ryu.

I will give it a try. Is he good with Chain Combos?

Play as Sagat. Destroy him.

Sweep the leg

Spend some time in training to at least get Sagat's specials and maybe some combos down. I don't know how good your guy is but chances are a little time spent brushing up on core techniques will be enough to turn things around.

ERRR: Sweeping the legs did work but he kinda caught on and used Shoruken combos to stop it. Cammy is good and fast though which is nice.

Ninja_Kn1ght: I will have to practice with Sagat a bit. I tried him and he has good moves but I need to learn a few good combos with him.

I made a bet with him haha! I have to beat him in a best two out three match chain. If I do that, Mama gets herself a living mannequin to dress up and take pictures of haha! Oh this is going to be sweet!

Yeah Sagat is a great Ken & Ryu crusher. Personally I prefer Cammy to punish Ken & Ryu (don't forget her mid air cannon spike!) Also if you've played with Guile he's a good character to punish them with. Here's a Guile combo vid to give you some ideas.

Sagat did his job haha! I got my two round victory! It wasn't easy but I won. Sagat has so many punishing moves and I don't think anyone can survive his special attack.

Sagat might be my only ace in the hole for the time being until I update my skills with the other characters. Chun-Li has a lot of good combinations and she is pretty fast as well. I will see what I can do with her.

So I took my payment for my bet and took my defeated mannequin to my scheduled professional shoot As much as he hates being cute he had to live through it haha!

Agreed. If I recall Sagat is the best character in street fighter 4.

Ryu and Ken are amazing but they frustrate me now since I have been on the beating end of their fighting prowness haha! My own win with Sagat was cheap but a win is a win
