The Ion kit is also compatible with a drum brain. Which is what most all electronic kits use as a navigator to tune and adjust tone for the pads and cymbals. So yeah. You really getting a real E-Drum kit. Pretty cool.

This is just an option. It's for the more serious players out there. There is still an original kit that you can use as standard.
