I use to watch FOX back in the day. Then I moved on to UP9 and then when internet became more available for me, I just stopped watching televised news. |

Watching the cable networks for more than an hour of a single day is like scooping your brain cells out with an Ice cream scooper.
Yahoo which is my homepage shows news clips from all of the cable news networks. So you cet a good variety there. But FOX sucks. I am with JB regarding O'Rielly and Beck the banana brain. Very informative 10 part documentary about FOX News. As narrated by many former FOX News employee's. Just scroll down the page past the Rick Sanchez response to Fox News using one of CNN's pictures in thier full page ad saying CNN did not cover the 9/12 march. Funny stuff. @Faith; CNN is probably the most Honest and moderate of all of them. Enjoy the documentary, its very fascinating. |

I love the youtube comments and how, when confronted with the fact that fox news has been caught in a flagrant lie, as opposed to absorbing this information and accepting the hit to credibility that they justly deserve, people are instead deflecting their scorn onto Rick Sanchez himself (who admittedly seems a total phony but it doesn't change the facts), attacking Cnn's credibility or feel the need to blindly defend Fox. Why?
I also love the claim "We cover all the news." This coming from a network that aired "So you think you can dance" over the president's septermber 9th address. So much do they fear the power of this man's oratory and logic they would rather you not hear him for yourself. http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009...-obama-address/26257 I know I've only been around for 27 years, but I've never seen a political party in america so angry. No president had ever been interrupted in a speech to congress before Joe Wilson's outburst. This is the kind of thing I would expect of those monkies in togas back in Rome. A bad precident. In regard's to Fox's lie, the sad thing is many of their most loyal veiwers will never know they lied. And indeed many of the youtube posters refuse to believe that cnn's response is real, even with Bill O'Reilly formerlly saying their coverage was biased, they now BELIEVE cnn didn't actually report at all because Fox said so as of now. It's doublethink for real. "I often quote myself. It adds spice to my conversation." --George Bernard Shaw |

You know what the difference between radical Republicans and radical Democrats are? The Democrats use the internet. The saddest part of it, is I looked through those photos JB posted and said to myself, "Oh hey... that's typical for the ultra political crowd." It's really great the most vocal people seem to be the most retarded.
Try the BBC. They freaking rock and normally cover **** the American news outlets won't touch with a ten foot pole.
The Democrats are close. Very ****ing close. Pretty much around the time they realized Obama wasn't going to be Congress's personal bitch, a few of the friendly Democratic commentators started to make him out to be the whipping boy for their own failures. I'll see if I can find the article, but it's been a couple months, so no promises. And give the Romans some credits! Depending on the era, their political system functioned much more reliably than ours does today. Which is great because our system is based so heavily on theirs, it's like we tried... and are failing. |

Yes yes and yes. Most people who are that crazy left or right tend to be bat-shart insane. I LOVE the BBC and NPR for my news. No BS, few editorials, and they actually cover stuff that I give a crap about. |

Yes the BBC rocks.
I also like watching PBS World news. They also just focus on clearly giving info and not focusing on the most titilating part of the story like cable. |

the BBC is awesome! My AP History teacher in high school was so anti-Fox he got us all reading the news from the BBC website instead. |

I will keep personal views to myself, and say that whether or not I watch Fox News, I only have 2 questions, because I am feeling inquisitive: 1)How can it be bad if after all this time, Fox News is still No. 1 in the Ratings?, and 2) How come everyone is against 1 news organization who everyone says is against the president and the government, being Fox News, while most of the competitors are for Pthe President? I just wanna know, because it's a question I have. I understand people have their own opinions, but why bash just 1 news station? And I am not biased to anyone's opinion, and I am neither for or against fox or anyone.
Like I said, I just wanna know. " I'm a Saint, in Sinner's eyes, cursing clouds over California" - DevilDriver |

I wouldn't mind FOX news if the majority of Americans weren't retarded.

I guess you missed it when Democrats booed Bush during the 2005 State of the Union Address. And it is hardly the first time Congress has misbehaved. This CNN article does a nice job of covering some of the more infamous moments. |

The point at which Similar to Fox News. So I guess conversely you can call it the Fox News (or maybe Bill O'Reilly Effect, for a better comparison.) ANYWAY, back to the topic. It is at the point where someone or something that is held up to be a bona fide news source begins to distort facts in the cause of convincing people to either join a side, or move away from another. News outlets, imo, have a responsibility to be as unbaised as possible, and the point at which the bias becomes an agenda based in opinion but veiled with half-facts is the point at which that source becomes "bad." It is at that point where it stops becoming a legitimate source of information and instead is only a facade for propaganda. The problem, is if the source can sprinkle enough certifiable facts into the mix, it makes it hard to determine what exactly is true and what isn't. Now, in all fairness, I do not watch Fox News anymore (nor do I watch anything from Michael Moore anymore,) so I can't comment as to whether Fox itself is bad, or if they just have commentators and anchors without journalistic integrity. Hopefully that helps answer why some people are calling it bad. |

Dr Groove, the difference is that while CNN/MSNBC/etc are biased a bit to the left (*shudder* Keith Olberman and Anderson Cooper), there haven't been too many times that they have said "Vote Democrat" I agree that they are probably more biased than they really ought to be, but at least they try and give SOME kind of equal share. Fox news claims to be fair and balanced, but that's like saying a paper clip and a volkswagen beetle are balanced. They come right out and insult Democrats (and to be fair the others have done this to the Republicans, but not on a regular basis), tell you to vote Republican and push Christianity like no other... not to mention they have really angry/nasty people like Bill O'Reilly and Glen Beck. It's ok to have different views, I mean the USA is what it is BECAUSE of our ability to choose what we think and we NEED the different views otherwise we'd be either war-mongering psychos or weak-pacifist pushovers. But Fox News takes that to a new level with people like Bill O'Reilly and Glen Beck.
To me, I could put up with the bias of Fox News if O'Reilly and Beck weren't there. Whether you are Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, there is no way any credible news source should be able to have those kind of hate-mongering people on. They bring in rating though, because a lot of people like to watch those things and get angry because they disagree (those youtube videos making fun of O'Reilly have to come from SOMEWHERE) |

DrGroove1; FOX gave up the ideal of Journalistic Integrity a long time ago.
Rupert Murdoch who owns the network is a very far right Republican. He is only interested in making a profit and does not care who he steps on to get his. FOX News on many many occasions have been busted for outright lying and presenting false info as fact. Additionally, they do not use newscasters or trained Journalists on the network. No one there does any true investigation into the stories they present. They are all "Commentators" or talking heads if you will. MSN is the most far left of all of them. CNN is actually the most balanced reporting of the three. A very moderate station that actually has trained Journalists working the station. Lou dobbs is an Independent and has no problem calling both parties retards. CNN actually gives more of a fair and balanced level of coverage to subjects They are not controlled by religious views. or party partisanship. You should scroll up a couple of posts and click on that 10 part documentary I linked to. That will answer many of your questions. Take for example the current Healthcare debate. The people screaming at rallies don't even know what it is they are screaming about. They don't get proper documentation from FOX. Most are Religious concervatives who because their party leaders whip up the fear tactic, are terrified of changing stuff. The Republican leaders what the Status quo to stay as it is. Its funny though. Christian Concervatives are all about anti-abortion and anti-contraceptives and life is precious and all that. But really that is bull****. I say that because if that was so important, they would be pushing the Republican party to actually take part in improving healthcare instead of wasting time trying to destroy the President in the hopes of getting control of the house and Senate again. Because honestly, that is all the Republican party of today cares about. Power and control. Facism if I ever heard it. |

i think it's safe to say most people who hate FOX news do so because its anchors are conservatives who can't stand a crappy liberal president who keeps giving away money we don't have to people who don't deserve it.
