I just bought 6 pairs of these for my local children's hospital via their Child's Play wishlist

I was having a hard time deciding what to get until I saw that The Janeway wanted 15 pairs of these and they were inexpensive enough that I could purchase several. I intend to go back and purchase something else a little less practical and a little more fun later on.

Child's Play

Oh Mutton-Chops I am glad you put the Child's Play website up. I was going to make a new thread for it but now I don't have to. I am glad you decided to participate in it Smile

I have already bought several Nintendo DS games for the Sick Kids hospital. There are a few other games on the medium priority list but so far people have opened their hearts to the cause.

I also contemplated starting a Child's Play thread. Guess I shoulda instead of posting here. If you'd like to do the honours go right ahead.

Video games are violent and bad. We should not be giving them to sick kids. Child's Play is a horrible organization.

Kids need bibles that is all.

I got both of those too. My Xbox decided it was time to fry on me last night before I went to work the launch, and I had to get a new one.

What do they do? Because I went to their website and as far as I can tell, they're charging $100 for... reading glasses?

They help you focus on the screen better and reduce eye fatigue so that you can look at the computer or tv/monitor better.

They are super super hot! I love them and I got them discounted cause I'm cool like that Smile

Hrm, in a weird sort of way, that makes sense. I still don't buy into all of what they say on their website, but I can see how helping your close-focus can help with that. Also, getting them at discount is a plus. I don't think I'd ever be able to understand someone paying full price for those.

Of course, the eye doctor always comments on how abnormally strong my close-focus is, so I rarely have a problem with it. Big Grin

Hey, if I thought about what is going to happen when I get older, I probably would have resigned myself to a desk job already. Razz

But in all seriousness, I have no delusions about getting older. Hell, my eyesight is already pretty ****ty when trying to look at anything farther than about 5 feet away.

But I still wouldn't pay $100 for what amounts to (as far as I can tell,) reading glasses.
