Yeah he usually goes on and on about how shaving the classic way with a horse hair brush and a straight razor is the best thing the world came up with since sliced bread haha! A classic shaving kit will make a great present since he always gets the latest games and gadgets before anyone can give him one as a present.

brookelyn Ruxpin is too cute! Brings back good memories.

Actually it's a badger hair brush not horsehair. Make sure you get either a super badger or silvertip badger brush and not a pure badger or lesser type with synthetic bristles. They might cost a bit more, but are better.

I convinced JB to go to the art of shaving store and buy all his groomsmen a straight razor and whatever else you need to get started. I have no idea if any of the guy used it, all I know is it looked to me to be a awesome gift to give to someone.

My xbox was about to die again (the disk wouldn't spin half the time) so before it completely died, I traded it in for this:

I actually started looking at a way to stop razor burn. I really dislike having a red neck, especially during the summer months due to shaving. As it is, I only shave every 2 days and in the summer, razor burn increased. Some research showed me that going to shaving soap instead of shaving cream or shaving gel would help. So far so good.

I still haven't gotten brave enough to go the straight razor route yet. Maybe one day.

And thanks to Comcast raising the lease on a modem I've leased long enough to pay off (read as: pure profit for them,):

Picked up a refurbished one off of Newegg for $31.00 (after shipping)

JB brought home DJ Hero for us the other night

Definitely a learning curve

So, my first thought when seeing DJ Hero is that they were just trying to cash in on the success of Guitar Hero (as if they haven't raped that franchise into the ground enough as it is.) Does it actually play well, and is fun? Or does it just feel like they're trying to... well... ride on GH's coattails to a profit?

Man I really need to go out and spend some money on something.

BTW; To avoid razor burn, two things you can do.
1. shave after you shower when the bristles are hot and soft.
2. If you shave every couple of days like I do, use a beard and mustache trimmer first then shave.
Rinse with hot water and you will not get razor burn.

Several not so recent single malt purchases ...

Ordered a couple of bottles for me and my Dad, last run from this particular distillery

Got this for my Dad to mark his 65th and my 40th birthdays and the 25 years separating them

Just for fun
