Well, my favorite is Still Alive from the Portal game.

But for me music is more like mood tuner, i love music in general and i love almost every type of music (except balck metal :/ ), and i believe that every type got it's own mood and i love the in-game music that put me in the right mood for it's game-play.

So i can't say that i prefer a specifed game music over another one's music, but i can say that i love the game music when it serves the game environment best and don't like it when it don't.

The music in both prince of persia sands of time and warrior within did served each of the game's environment best, and i hope that be the case with the new prince of persia game music aswell.

And since you mentioned ENYA Big Grin (which is my favorite of all time Smile ) there is a new enya album out already called (And Winter Came) and its so awesome, like all enya's albums. Smile

I like your choices, here are some of my picks:

Silent Hill Series: Akira Yamaoka is a master of evocing the dark, unsettling atmosphere of Silent Hill in his scores. he uses a lot of industrialsounds and crazy effects and his vocal tracks are beautiful too. His work is the best part of SH0 and Homecoming.

Shadow of the Colossus: Just a beautiful score, The entire soundtrack is epic and sweeping and really captures the epic scale of the world and the colossi.

Metal Gear Solid Series: The most cinematic score in game. The main musical themes of the series are awesome and really get the player excited. Each game in the series also has a great ending theme be it the Irish language track, "The Best Is yet To Come" or MGS2's jazzy yet melancholy "Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday" or MGS3's "Way To Fall". The ending theme to MGS4 is the most beautiful and powerful piece of music I've ever heard in a game, it was composed by ennio morricone.

Other picks:

Killer 7, Takada nails the tone of this bizarre game, especially with the track "Rave On".

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga: Plenty of great music here.

No doubt! I <3 singing Still Alive on Rock Band. I think I do a pretty good GlaDos.

Every time I hear the Oblivion theme music, I get excited, and then I think: "And I'm not going to move my butt for four hours." Heh heh.

Snake Eater from MGS3. I love that song and how they orchestrate it with the final boss battle and the sakura scenery.

I love when games use music in a subtle way - like if you hear music in the Half Life series you're like: "oh, man, it's going down now." Using the music sparingly makes you appreciate the music more.

I like most of the FF music from the PS1 days. Like 7,8,9 and Tactics. I also liked Saga Frontier 1 and 2. Square-Enix need to port both these games to DS or something.

Theres a lot of music I like from PC games as well like Diablo 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, KoToR 1 and 2, Silent Storm, Warhammer Dawn of War, Rome Total War, Medieval 2, Total War, Civilization 4, and so much more.

The Portal song is definitely amazing, but more as a song in and of itself rather than as a complement to the game while actually playing it. I mean, you do hear the tune coming out of radios in the game, and that's very cool, but it didn't seem to fit into my list.

If I make a list of my Top 10 individual game tracks, "Still Alive" would be on there.

Sill Alive is the best! I am surprised no one mentioned the music from WoW, or maybe I just missed it. There is a ton of great scores in that game & it they really set the mood for the zone or instance you are in.

that's cause folks know better.

I dig the music from the Metal Gear Series, that always been good. I especially like the cover of the MGS2 theme they made for Konami's Skateboarding game. The music in Devil may Cry also (not the ****ty metal).

The score for Mass Effect also caught my attention. I dig it.

Random but there is only one song that makes me what to run over small children and that's, "Let the body hit the floor." I'm not even a fan of this kind of music but everytime it comes on the radio it makes me aggressive and hate the world. Maybe I should start listening to it before competitions.

I learned in school that if you repeat yourself 3 times it will be embedded in peoples heads.

Ever see that commerical that goes: "Apply directly to your forehead." a million times over? They know whats up.

That song is in an old original Rainbow Six 3 video some guy made. Basically showing off the ragdoll physics which at the time were brand new.

Can't say that I have, I mute most commercials. And I learned in school that if I just rephrased the same statement 3 different times, my paper would get lots of red ink...
