I've heard that WoW can be host to some really great competetive matches.

I really don't care for MLG anymore though. I wish a WSVG type org' would come back into the fold. I miss that circuit. They really had a good thing going to.

I always thought MLG couldn't get anymore stupid than it already is, but then Michael Sepso walks out, gently rests his hand on my shoulder and says with a soft smile, "We can, Andy. We can."

I don't like WoW at all, but from a business perspective, (also considering they have already received a HP sponsorship out of this) it is a very good move.

With all gaming opinions aside, you can't deny this was a smart BUSINESS move.

I mean, c'mon, they bought Gotfrag a while ago. What did you expect?

I don't really see the problem, Competing in WoW seems just as legit as competing in pretty much any other game.

They are getting 2 huge AND NEW markets to MLG with this: The PC market and the RPG market. It is a perfect gateway for SC 2 and is perfect for what they want to do.

I don't see how you can compete in WoW... I'm not very familiar with it (though I loathe it), but are there rounds? Goals? Points? A score of some sort? Do they just turn people loose, start a timer and at the end of 30 minutes, the highest level or person with the most gold wins?

Two things are certain:
1) I don't get it.
2) I don't really care, so you don't have to try to explain it to me.

What have I been listening to recently?
"I have a competition in me."
"The world doesn't just disappear when you close your eyes..."

Well, I don't play WoW but I would imagine they can take their elves and trolls or whatever and make them fight each other until one of them dies. PvP or something.

Quite obvious people will have to kill one another like every other game. PvP action. I'm guessing theres lvl cap, as well as some equipment thats banned for the match. Then they proceed to slug it out, how ever WoW players slug each other out.

My guess would be they are going to use the arena system that is on WoW where there is 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 battles. I would also go to guess that there is a standard set of gear, in this case most likely season 3 or 4 gear. Then you pick what you want on your team for classes and go.

I'd love to see someone go all Leroy Jenkins during a match.

If you ask me its smart of MLG to pick it up. There is an insane amount of people who play WOW and they are catering to that crowd.
