On the Xbox live page for new additions I see they added a Call of Duty 4 picture pack and it's free. I tried looking for it last night but had no success. And I know it's out because I've seen several people with the pictures, has anyone else seen them in the marketplace? They're not under the Call of Duty4 section, and I checked the new arrivals section- no luck, so where else could they be?

Picture packs have never been free, to my knowledge. Anyway...

Have you tried looking in themes? I guess gamerpics would be included there

Don't worry. They've been advertising a 3 song pack for rockband that has yet to show.

@Ninja_Raiden: There are dozens if not hundreds of free Gamer Pictures available on Marketplace. GTAIV has some, for example.

@Moonstruck_Wolf: Where are you seeing this? Looking at the Xbox Live Marketplace page on Xbox.com I see both Themes and Gamer Pictures for COD4, but none of them are free.

I think there might have been a free gamerpic (I think it was just one pic) offered at one point for one of the promotional weekends/contests (which wouldn't be listed on the marketplace page) but I'm pretty sure that's long over & no longer available.

The only other thing I can think of is that I think there were CoD4 gamerpics in OXM a while back but that's not really free & wouldn't be on the marketplace.

http://www.mygamercard.net/gpscout.php is a good database for gamerpictures from all regions, both currently available & no longer available.

About a week or two ago I downloaded a COD4 picture pack that had all 10 of the prestige symbols and that was free, and there was 1 free picture for the Xbox Live Fire Weekend , just like the free Rainbow Six one, and current Madden 09 free picture pack and theme.

I would just say theres a error between the marketplace and website.

I just looked at the description for that pack & it says "Obtain These Exclusive Call of Duty 4 LIVE Fire Weekend GamerPictures" which implies to me that the picture pack was only available during the Live Fire Weekend promotion & is no longer available (which is why it wouldn't be on the Marketplace section on Xbox.com).

Most packs are free. All picture packs should be free with the amount that games cost. My advice is if there not free don't buy them. Even though I caved and bought the Alan Wake picture pack. I know, I know a waste of a $1.25

This is the exact picture pack I was looking for. I didn't know it was a promotion. That kinda stinks. I only wanted them because they were free- I would rather spend money on a game then a picture pack.

Ah, right. I did say to my knowledge...
