Excellent job Jump! I really like the whole clothing fabric you designed and the pose of the model. Keep up the great work! Cool

I was over my grandmothers house today and i decided to take some pictures of the samurai sword my grandfather took off of a dead Jap that he killed on Iwo Jima.

Not sure what this is but i think it might be the wings that would go on the collar of a pilot, meaning that the Jap killed a POW and put his wings in the sword handle.

This is - hands down - one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing; that is just super awesome cool. My fiance and I have been looking and looking at these pics and talking about them for an hour now!

When you quote someone who posted 50 images, please just remove the images from the quote, or only include one or two relevant ones. No need to see pictures of the same thing over and over.

But, its a pretty sword.

I think it's a NCO Type 95 Mikey. I'm not sure if the wings are the wings of a pilot. Looks odd.

After taking all the pictures of the sword yesterday i thought it would be fun to take some pictures of the rifle my great uncle took off of a dead Jap on Guadalcanal.

Its an Arisaka type 38.

When the Japanese knew they were going to lose a battle they would scratch the imperial seal off their rifles because they considered anything with the seal on it to be a part of Japan and it would be disrespectful for an enemy to have anything with the seal on it. That is what this scratch mark on the top of the rifle is. :P

Lucky you Mikey. When I went back to China, I wasn't allowed to take anything back to the U.S. Things my grandfather and other relatives left behind during the war. It was considered a crime take them outside of the country.
