Can someone _PLEASE_ provide a solution for the out-of-sync video/audio problem??

I've tried _EVERYTHING_ suggested on this forum:
V_sync 0n/off, anti-alias on/off, flare on/off, using the Full Processing.exe, Fast-flip on/off, installing differen (nvidia) graphics card drivers and what-not more...

But _NOTHING_ works, all the suggested solutions seem only to aim to slowdown rendering to match the audio, which works for about 5 seconds before completely messing up (again).

This gets me _VERY_ frustrated, I bought the game to play it, not to debug it!

Any solid solutions are more than welcome!!!

Even better: what little sync there was it totally messed up atfer upgrading my VIA chipset drivers (also suggested) and installing Dx9.0c.

I've just tried to play the game in 800x600 (which is rediculous with the available hardware), then the syncing oscilates from audio too early to audio to late. Which is even more annoying

Current settings & 1200x1024 or 1024x768 result in very slow graphics.

Try to update your sound card drivers. I'm not entirely sure what motherboard that is but I think you need the ALC Realtek drivers which you can find here:

Or the latest drivers directly from Realtek:

I'll try that. Will also update 4in from MSI site instead of 3rd party drivers.

FYI: Omega Nvidia adapters didn't solve anything. I even had a strange thing happening; the white of the eyes floated above the heads

Currently doing a reinstall of BGE and the latest Geforce drivers, from nvidia.

Reinstall - BGE, no patch
Latest drivers - VIA/Nvidia/ALC

Settings:
- 1024x768/full & min graphic settings
- 800x600/ full & min ...dito

No changes! Audio and video still _WAY_ out of sync...

enter to the dxdiag option and change sound acceleration from full to basic and try again

The sound acceleration was set to 'No acc..' funny thing is, this made the sound play way before anything happens (or the video plays way faster)

Setting the acc... to basic, yields five more seconds of synced audio/video before slowly going awry.

By the way; I'm returning to an older sound driver. The newest one does not work properly with other games, like XIII, also from Ubisoft (this game works!)

Have you tried with full sound acceleration? Also, does the video/audio sync problem also appear when using 640x480 and does it exist only during cutscenes or also in actual gameplay?

640x480 works,
even with all settings at maximum but sound acceleration still on basic.

Of course thats the only thing I didn't try.

Well, at least it works & is playable. I guess there's no fix for running the game in 1024x768 (do the dimensions make any difference at all?)

In-game sound is also ok...

Yeah, probably.

But the strange thing is I have absolutely no problems with running other games (like XIII as mentioned before) in their highest resolutions (for XIII that is 1024x768)...

And about the FX5200; Just my luck I bought a (seemingly) crappy card...
