I'm an old newbie - that is, I'm in my 70's, and trying to learn some new tricks. I've got this game and joystick for xmas and jumped through all the hoops to get it going - no luck! Pitch Up or Pitch Down do not work. In 'Settings' > 'Player 1 Controls', the default setting for Pitch Up = Stick Down and for 'Pitch Down = Stick Down. When I try to change them I get a 'Control 16' response for both categories. Anyone have any luck with this?
Being new to this stuff, I thought maybe, it was just the original joystick I was using, an Saitek Evo, and I actually did an exchange for this Logitech. I'm thinking I did a downgrade. Any comments on which is the better stick for most games?

Personally I like the saitek much better because they cater to lefties. I have the saitek AV8R and it works pefect.

you will need to install the mapping or macro program that comes with logiteck or download it from their website.

If you still had the saitek I could send you my .dat file and it would get you up and running but you'd need to make a few modifications to the mapping because you have different model joystick.

but considering you now have logitech you have to talk with someone that has logitech.

If your a Noob you should get "Heroes Of The Pacific"...

If YOU don't play this Game with a "Game Pad" your going to get your "A$$ WAXED" online by buy Belfastkiller...

i use a control pad works fine plus it onley cost me 5pound sterling.
yes ive a joystick to but it dont work at all
pity this game has no support could have been one of the best air combat games out
all ubi had to do was throw us a patch or two more to make the joystick issues better
throw an extra map or two to show support for this game

but anyway if you want online play down load xfire add my name hook up for some online dog fights

these 2 days the first i played in months bit rusty but ya all gonna get blasted outa the sky lol
